Will the Dems Finally Play Hardball?
However, perhaps the humiliation over the Iraq War resolution will finally show the Democrats that it’s time to play the political game the way the Republicans do – to win. It also may be time to start seeking meaningful accountability from senior figures in this administration, not just from low-level has-beens like former Iraq proconsul Paul Bremer.

1. No, but they should.
No more "non-binding" resolutions. Testimony "under oath" and subpoenas (if necessary) for witnesses appearing before Congressional committees. Impeachment back "on the table". No Democratic participation on Fox pundit shows. Taking the high road has gotten us exactly nowhere. The Republicans play hardball and crooked, rigged hardball at that.

and then proceed to rant about everything outside of their narrow view that they claim isn't being addressed? If he went and picked up the stories from just today's news, he would find a myriad of hearings, ongoing and scheduled, and a myriad of actions by the leadership and the rank and file, both active and pending.

and they know it. Word has it, behind the scenes, the RW assholes are pissed as hell at McConnell for allowing this to happen. They have received unfavorable HEADLINES in the papers and they don't like it.

I heard this on C-SPAN this morning.
