I wonder ......

How long until they close the borders to our physical persons?

How long until our passports are declared invalid?

How long until a fence goes up along our northern border, too?

How long?

Can it all be done before January of 2009?

Or does it even matter?

1. Shit. By 2009 the CANADIANS will be building the wall
to keep us from flooding their country in flight from the American Nightmare.

17. Ya ain't seen nuffin yet, eh?
Wait til after they slam down with martial law. I don't think they'll even try to stop us from leaving. Why bother? With everything outsourced, who needs the rabble? Hell, they'll probly start exotic epidemics just to thin us out. GM bird flu, anyone? (Side benefit of eliminating all those pigeons shitting on their Ferraris.)

2. From my cushy perspective in Canada
I'm looking forward to that wall. As long as the powers that be here don't see fit to deport my sorry ass back to the United States.

Seven years ago I could not have imagined I would feel this way...

7. Heh. I wish.
We're over a week into a nasty humid heatwave, the AC's not working right and if it doesn't rain one of these days, I'm going to start screaming and never stop. I'd swear I was back in Savannah. Just no Spanish moss around. Oh, and you can't get decent cornbread in this city to save your life. Other than not, things are good!

If you guys decide to do it please bring your camera and post to the Photography group...

11. My Canadian friends are just astonished
and my fellow-American friends here share my relief that we had the foresight to hop the Underground Railroad before it was too late.

After what Bush has done to our military, the Canadians might actually pull off an invasion. Another thing I never would have believed 7 years ago!:tinfoilhat:

...I think we are "through the looking glass"...I don't think tinfoil hats apply anymore.

I understand Cananda is lovely this time of...historical period...may have to bring the family up for an extended visit. Glad we keep our passports current.

Family and friends seldom visit here, especially after SARS. We get lonely sometimes!

4. "Passports declared invalid"...
Do you think it's a coincidence that the government is requiring a brand-new type of passport (that can track you whereever you go, BTW) and that, due to "unforseen demand," there will be an indefinite delay before said passports are actually made available to applicants?

No need to declare passports invalid if people who want them can't get them in the first place.

6. Bingo-
Homeland Security has never been about "protecting" us.
It's all about controlling us when we figure out the coup d'etat
that has taken place.
