The brilliance of republican values
The former CEO of Home Depot failed as the companies stock went down when he was the boss. He was punished by only receiving 210 million dollars as a buyout. He was recently hired by Chrysler to be there CEO. Pray tell, how will the boss deal with the UAW, attempting to have them take cuts in their pension plans because its for the good of the company or maybe something as trivial as caps on payraises? No doubt he will hold his head up high and look the negotiators in the eye. He'll stay the course.

His is another example of "executive privilege."

Maybe some free republic member who happens to be an hourly employee can jump in here and tell us all about how one does what he does? No doubt, without shame or integrity.

1. Poor Chrysler
His tenure at Home Depot was acrimonious, to say the least, and he bloody nearly ruined the company by his policy of firing all the old guys whose brains do it yourselfers could pick in favor of cheap but bored twentysomethings who didn't even know "righty tighty, lefty loosie."

The stock went down because the service sucked and people went to Lowe's instead. The initial savings on labor was more than offset by the massive decrease in sales.

2. Did he have anything to do with this...
Is this guy the reason why after I buy something, and walk 5 yards to the exit, and have to show a receipt for my own stuff before I can leave! Someone who acts like they would mug me if he saw me on the street. I know they do that sort of thing at other retailers too.

As far as I'm conerned HD, Lowes, Wal-mart, they're all the same. There is no reason why supplies can't be shipped to smaller businesses with the same degree of business efficiency.

3. They don't do that at the one I grudgingly go to
The only place around here that does that is Costco. Good thing, too, because they once found something the cashier left out of the box.
