1. Cry. Take my word for it. Cry your eyes out. I've been voting
the Dem ticket for decades. I have never been so sick and disgusted with politics and politicians in all my life.

Give me your honest whore on the street everytime. The don't pretend or put on airs. I'd trust one of them more than I'd trust almost any politician.

Wouldn't you think the very few honest, caring, and decent pols would be sick and tired of being tarred with the same brush as this other bunch?

4. I understand very well that the election is not for a year and three
months yet. I don't have to make my mind up yet. And I'm really pondering the choices here.

10. When one leads with a major right-wing talking point
Edited on Mon Aug-06-07 11:04 AM by liberalnurse
for the Thread Title, that is highly suggestive of their position.

The poster may wish to correct this impression if that is not their intent.

2. first one I heard use that phrase this year was Howard Fineman on MSNBC
'Democrats' did not cave. A minority in our party banded together with a solid bloc of republicans in their betrayal. The vast majority of Democrats stood up and did the right thing.

6. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
"If Democrats cave to their anti-war base..."
"did the Democrats cave?"
"if the democrats cave.."
"Will Democrats Cave...?"

Besides, since when does an overly simplistic Google search "say it all" about any damn thing?
Do a search for "Democrats are godless" and "Republicans are godless" and tell us what the fuck that's supposed to mean, too.

7. There's a lot of room between "less than formally logically correct" and "sloppy"...
Edited on Mon Aug-06-07 10:59 AM by BlooInBloo
... But yah, "says it all" is a bit much too.

EDIT: But there *is* value in testing the winds, in this fashion, and in others.

11. I'll still go with sloppy.
BlooInBloo said: "But there *is* value in testing the winds, in this fashion, and in others."

We'd have to quantify what value that might be. I don't think there's any, really.
Try the search I suggested in the previous post, and also try "Democrats suck" and "Republicans suck".
The only thing a Google tells us about those 2 phrases is how often they are included in Google search results - nothing more.

13. No, we don't "have to" do that, actualy...
... And I'm a mathematician - lol!

There can be value had from both quantitative and qualitative analyses. There can also be value in high-resolution and low-resolution analyses. No single sort of analysis offers "the keys to the kingdom" - take them all for what they offer, and no more.

"Currently Tracking:

Victories: 101 | Draws: 10 | Defeats: 48"

http://www.militaryfactory.com/battles/french_military_victories.asp

Not that this could ever "kill" their stupid talking point.

They R so good at destroying the truth.
