Anyone walk by Department of Justice HQ (in DC) lately?
Edited on Sun Aug-05-07 09:25 PM by Intransigent
Check out what they've done to all the doors - those big neat looking metal art-deco doors all round the building: They've been boarded up. (I'd post a pic, but don't want to get anyone upset, esp. after this weekend.)

It looks for all the world as if the Department of Justice is closed for business. :hide:

(edit: typoe)

1. Department of Justice IS out of business
What we have now is Gonzo's Emporium of Legalistic Excuses.

2. So what is your take on it? Limiting access to underground only?
Why do you think they did that?

To keep us from storming the place when they declare Martial Law?

That is one strange development.

3. How weird is that?
All of them? If it was just one set of doors I'd say it was for maintenance but all of them is kind of weird.

5. Huh you don't say.
When I was in Moscow I was shown the KGB building. Not much to see but apparently most of the KGB was housed in the deep deep basements so that no one could see in and no one knew who was there or what was going on. I don't like this much. All of them? Really?

6. That's disgusting to board up beautiful doors, and for what reason? I recall
in Prague .. a building I visited had had all the art deco covered with a grey paint, from the communist days.

9. Not to worry. Tony Snow will explain it itomorrow and it will make
perfect sense. That might be preceded by Washington Journal if the right person gets through to ask. Someone from Kentucky will have the answer - their version of an answer.

11. It was really fun to read about the secret judge meeting in the morning
related to bribes by Congressmen and more? Theories about CIA counterfeiting in the thread.

Folowed by DOJ doors being boarded up?

Sunday evening reading in America. Don't need Clancy, Grisham or Miss Marple.
