It was a great two hours of open discussion...a breath of fresh air from the corporate reality game shows we've seen in past debates. Biden was the only candidate who didn't show. All the candidates were warmly recieved. The first hour was on domestic issues, the second hour to foreign affairs. Topics ranged from Universal Health care to Campaign finance reform/influence of lobbyists to Iraq.
The biggest applause went to John Edwards when he pledged not to take any lobbyist money and asking the other candidates (Hillary) to follow suit. Kucinich made it and got a loud round of applause for bringing up the Cheney impeachment resolution and Chris Dodd got a big ovation for his standing up to BillO the other night. Hillary came off well considering she was walking into the belly of the beast.
Overall, the mood was upbeat and respectfully...the netroots can be very proud of how well this forum was conducted and the overall docorum around YKos. I am hoping C-SPAN will carry this forum later...or I would strongly urge all to watch the forum:
http://www.yearlykosconvention.org/ustreamThere should have archived feeds up shortly...and let you decide who won. IMHO, they all were winners for taking the time to reach out and participate in the forums.
