DUMB QUESTION: How do you find out when congressman or senator will appear in public back home?

I'd like to have the chance to question them face to face, but i don't see the info on most of their websites.

Will their offices divulge that infor if you call, or is there some other trick to find out?

Usually, I end up hearing about those events the same day or at most too soon before to rearrange my schedule for harassment purposes.

Mine will and does. I would call the local office as opposed to the D.C. office though.

5. not usually. Feinstein mentions regular breakfast with constituents in DC. That's about it.

4. Maybe call their local office and get their schedule. I know when Durbin and Obama are coming to my

area, it's all over the papers. You may keep an eye on your local paper too. Your best bet is to call their local State offices. I know Durbin has several offices in Illinois. Up North and down South. Call them all. They'll tell you. They do work for YOU.

and calling our representatives for town hall meetings with them.

9. Check with your local party

Check the website of your local Dem party. It is the picnic/summer festival season and your your congressman will be attending some of these. We had 2 congressmen at our county party picnic a few weeks ago.

If you don't get the info you want from whomever answers the phone, ask for the party chief. You will find out.
