Here's the same old song and dance: US Army says Iraqi forces in Ramadi need more time
WASHINGTON, Aug 3 (Reuters) - The Iraqi army and police in the Anbar capital of Ramadi will need at least another eight months before they can begin to take over local security, a U.S. military officer said on Friday.

How many times can they play this same song? This is the same message over and over and over and over again. Since 2003, it's been a non-stopWe found the WMDs, We'll stand down when they stand down, we are separating the insurgents from the populace, the Iraqis are leading the fight. In reality, it's pathetic that the only tactics and strategy are those swiped from Roger Trinquier, including the use of torture on captured enemy personal. Although, Trinquier highlights the need for effective intelligence apparatuses and a high level of cultural awareness, things completely lacking by the Regime.

Sadly, the Regime just needs to pull this off a few more times and then they'll be free and clear and able to slander the next president as the one who 'lost' his glorious war.

2. Well, the Warmongers will continue to cite the bogus Op-Ed by
Michael O'Hanlon and Kenneth Pollack. But, to be fair these guys could be right after all they spent EIGHT WHOLE DAYS in Iraq! And in reality thats all one needs to see how good things are...

Also to highlight the other recent comments some Generals have made in regards to Anbar and how long it will take (They aren't even on the same message).

General: Iraqi forces won't be ready in Anbar for 'couple of years'
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/07/20/iraq.main/index.html

U.S. general says military needs more time in Iraq
Conway said military operations against insurgencies can last as long as nine to 10 years.

And so I'm sure several dems will vote, out of fear of appearing weak or losing their elevated position, for the next round of emergency funds to be distrubuted to Boeing and Blackwater and Dyncorp and KBR and other corparations which benefit from death and destruction...

3. All they need is more troops, more money, and more time..just like Westmoreland did.
Westmoreland got more troops, more money, and more time...and we all know how that turned out.
