Alright, can't we stop the Senate Spy bill in the House?

We've got all weekend.

I'm up this morning with a hangover from the defeat yesterday. Reid was outdone by the republicans, and I have to wonder why he allowed them this vote at all.

Same in the House. Pelosi doesn't have to offer up the Senate version; she can present an alternative . If the House offers their own language instead of just accepting the Senate bill, they can hammer out more restrictions and accountability in conference. Or effectively table it.

They can put pressure back on the administration by re-framing the debate back to protection of privacy and a refusal to grant any more power to an out of control AG.

We do need to get buzzing on this. I think the House intends to bring something up Monday.

1. YES! The House CAN defeat this bill today, but don't hold your breath. They have vacations planned.

That's more important than peon citizen's civil liberties.
