64. Remember her moment of truth during Katrina with that CNN guy ...Anderson something

Where she was being smug about all the * support etc. she was getting and he kirked out.

I think he was standing near some dreadful scene and he just blasted her.

She's a big loser, imho.

I am disappointed in McCaskill, Webb, Mikulski and Klobuchar. As for the group in general, I'd have to say my feelings are, I'm done with them. After the hearing this week they would vote to put Gonzales in charge of spying on us! It doesn't even compute.

My Senator McCaskill? Oh, Claire. How could you? Say it ain't so, Claire!

And WTF is up with Feinstein? Earlier this week she casts the deciding vote to allow some rascist nominee for a federal judgeship to go forward. Now she votes to allow that walking shit-bag in the Oval office to continue his illegal spy program.

32. Missouri isn't all that conservative
They're about to throw out their GOP governor, who's currently behind in the polls against his Democratic challenger even in the Ozarks.

KC and St. Louis are Democratic strongholds.

My sister was a ward leader for McCaskill in KC and she's beyond furious this morning - just livid.

35. I just sent out a mass email to our political groups here in KC
Many of us literally gave up our lives last summer and fall to work on Claire's campaign. This is so revolting. First Boyda, now McCaskill. Makes me wonder why I even belong to the Democratic party. We certainly don't have good representation from this area in DC.

...and Dennis Moore is one of the Blue Dogs who will help pass this monstrosity in the House today.

I'm wondering if Kit "They're gonna git us" Bond strong-armed Claire yesterday. It was his bill, after all. He's a major Bush enabler and why Jackson County continues to vote for him astounds me.

39. Well, Dennis Moore did something right this week
He signed off on the letter requesting impeachment investigations for Gonzalez.

Kit Bond is a nightmare. I saw him when I was in DC in June. He was walking out of a restaurant with a woman young enough to be his daughter. And he was not walking in a sober manner. :)

41. yeah, I saw that
Which makes it inexplicable that, if you have an AG corrupt enough to be impeached that you'd vote to hand him even more power to trample the Constitution. Maybe Dennis will vote against this today, although I doubt it.

Kit Bond is a boozy mess. He spoke in the Senate a couple of weeks ago and it looked like he'd had a few shots - he could barely follow his text and looked like hell. What a humiliation he is.

Wednesdays are tough for me, but I'm going to try to make it there. Roberts is pure evil and it's important to put the heat on him. Brownback is just dense and nutty, but Roberts is one of the worst Bush enablers in the Senate.

I hope the Kansas Democratic party can come up with a better candidate than Len Jones. That campaign was so sad, so doomed.

15. 16 "terra" fied DEM senators vote to trash our Constitution.
As previous posts point out, many of these votes are expected and many are shocking. All are disappointing and their further service should be held to greater scrutiny. This vote is liken to any previous votes supporting "the Patriot Act."

The 60-28 roll call by which the Senate voted to temporarily give President Bush expanded authority to eavesdrop on foreign terrorists without court warrants.

On this vote, a ''yes'' vote was a vote to give Bush that authority and a ''no'' vote was a vote to deny him that authority.

Voting ''yes'' were 16 Democrats, 43 Republicans and 1 independent.

Voting ''no'' were 27 Democrats, 0 Republicans and 1 independent.

Here they are again:

Arkansas
01 Lincoln (D) Yes.
02 Pryor (D) Yes

California
03 Feinstein (D) Yes

Colorado
04 Salazar (D) Yes.

Delaware
05 Carper (D) Yes.

Florida
06 Nelson (D) Yes.

Hawaii
07 Inouye (D) Yes.

Indiana
08 Bayh (D) Yes.

Louisiana
09 Landrieu (D) Yes.

Maryland
10 Mikulski (D) Yes.

Minnesota
11 Klobuchar (D) Yes.

Missouri
12 McCaskill (D) Yes.

Nebraska
13 Nelson (D) Yes.

North Dakota
14 Conrad (D)

Pennsylvania
15 Casey (D) Yes.

Virginia
16 Webb (D) Yes.

If any of these imposters represent you, then you know what you have to do to replace them in their next primary.

2 when she was Hennepin County DA a true zeal for sending young men of color to prison and throwing away the key, even when they were under 18 at the time of committing the crime.

62. Can't find a list of the Senate New Democrats...
Can't find a total list. Appears to be treated secretively. I know who a lot are because I knew who formed the original group because of Bob Graham's ties to it. I found a little. DLC took it off their website...the names that is.

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Senate_New_Democrat_Coalition

""The Senate New Democrat Coalition (SNDC) was founded in Spring 2000 by Senators Evan Bayh (IN), Bob Graham (FL), Mary Landrieu (LA), Joseph I. Lieberman (CT) and Blanche Lincoln "to provide a unified voice in the U.S. Senate for progressive ideas, mainstream values, and innovative, market-based policy solutions."

By December 1, 2001, the SNDC became "the strongest and most unified Democratic group in the Senate. With long-time leaders like John Breaux (LA), and a strong class of freshman from the class of 2000 -- including Jean Carnahan (MO), Tom Carper (DE), Ben Nelson (NE), Bill Nelson (FL) and Debbie Stabenow (MI)," SNDC's ranks expanded to 20 members. <1> "

The links no longer work. But they are a powerful group that is holding us back from acting like Democrats, the opposing party.

Anyone have a reliable full list?

Free trade was one reason they were formed."

http://www.ndol.org/ndol_ci.cfm?contentid=250061&kaid=103&subid=111

"The SNDC's legislative agenda focuses on, among other priorities: free-trade initiatives, policies that foster the new economy, fiscal responsibility and greater investments in national security. Of particular note, the SNDC has been pushing to reform federal education policy and improve public schools by simultaneously expanding choice and competition, demanding greater accountability, and increasing investment. The New Democrat "3R's" bill, sponsored by Senators Lieberman, Bayh and Landrieu, among many others, is aimed at overhauling Washington's role in assisting schools and disadvantaged students. The bill is the foundation of the bipartisan education bill that recently passed both chambers and is supported by President Bush."
