That was the most ridiculous scene I've ever seen in the House
after all this time, they voted to do what Hoyer proposed half an hour ago - vacate the vote, fix the machines, vote again.

But Jesus Christ, David Dreier is such a tool. WHY would they spend all this time arguing over this and not just do the reasonable thing he proposed?

It's a wonder they don't punch each other, and Steny Hoyer gets major points for remaining so calm. I would've been smacking people half an hour ago.

Too busy working, probably for the next 12 years or so.

3. It was a childish and disgraceful display by the Republicans
No other way to describe it.

4. Because the GOP are so desperate, this is "RED MEAT" to rile their base.
Only problem--this is a HOT fucking day.

Their 'base' is sitting on their asses drinking beer someplace cool, if they possibly can be. They aren't focused on this shit.

I'd guess the rabid websites are taking heart. But it will be a short thrill ride, and they'll sink back into their old malaise before too long.

5. Consider for a moment the poor rascal whose duty it is to resurrect
the computer system and make sure it's playing the right kind of tunes. He's got, maybe, thirty minutes until the savages get restless and start shooting those "off to the hot pincers and waterboarding at gitmo" looks at him/her.

What if it's a cracked cable that only fails once in a while but enough to have everything humming right along and then - BLAM! - down it goes and we have another half hour of disorganized idiocy, with the usual suspects taking the opportunity to hear themselves sounding off?

And those members think they're under pressure!

6. So since they have been in charge for 15 years
are they blaming the democrats for the machines breaking down. If they had put money to where it was needed instead of into their own pockets the machines would have worked.
