Pat Tillman's Family Are Atheists So They Were Having A Hard Time Letting Go
dept. of political assassinations
Who Ordered the Execution of NFL/Army Hero Pat Tillman?

“Who done it? – Wonkette

It’s almost too depressing to mention again, but let’s recap the Pat Tillman revelations from Army medical examiners and internal Pentagon reports released last week and find out what happens when famous football stars turned Army Heroes become anti-war critics:

∑ He was shot three times in the forehead at close range with an American M-16.

∑ This was after he was shot in the chest, legs and hand.

∑ And this was after he screamed to the “friendlies” that he was Pat Tillman and please stop shooting him.

∑ But they didn’t; they executed him.

∑ They were Americans.” …cont.

“Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Kauzlarich, who commanded Tillman’s base in Afghanistan at the time of his assassination, dismissed Tillman’s family’s attempts to find out what happened. Why? Because Pat Tillman was an atheist, like his family, so they were having “a hard time letting it go.”…cont.

1. Cripes, another fool who misunderstnds atheism.
I've dealt with grieving people for a very long time, and I can affirm that it's the most religious who have the hardest time with it. Atheists, after all, aren't facing judgment and condemnation by a vengeful god. When it's our time to go, we just go.

What they can't let go of is the fact that their son was executed, shot by friendly fire and then finished off in a way that looks more like a mob hit than anything else.

2. The saddest thing is they're going to get away with it
No one seems to have the balls to bring any of these criminals to justice. America is FUCKED!

4. Wow, LCOL Dumbass
In a position of leadership, who obviously has deeply held religious beliefs to cloud his judgement and help him come to conclusions. Just fucking great. No wonder dobson wants to take over the Air Force Academy.

5. I suppose that he thinks a good Christian family would just accept
the story they've been told and not demand answers for the murder of their son. What an idiot!

6. And isn't it funny. I really hadn't registered that he was an atheist, but when that piece of
information 'clicked' in my mind, I found it supremely ironic that the only guy who was 'badmouthing' Tillman's conduct (as he DIED, mind you)was Chaplain NAME REDACTED. Chaplain NAME REDACTED was the guy who put the term "snivelling fucker" or words to that effect in CPL Tillman's mouth. Funny, the supposed 'sniveller' denies that this was even said.

This Tillman case was the thing that really made me realize that even our military was deeply corrupted. When I learned they had lied about this, I was sickened. It used to be you could count on them to be the last to turn, to maintain their sense of decorum and their integrity, and they worked hard at making that a priority for awhile there--but this whole crime/cover up and the shifting excuses, blame and bullshit they keep spouting, why, there's no leadership or honesty there. I can't blame the family for being steaming-angry.

7. There's Simply No Words
To describe the evil that has happened here. There is not one stop along this chain of events where honor or truth prevailed.

9. Yep. Wonkette is snarky, but that litany of Tillman events is DAMNING.
First they shot him in the chest, legs, and hand, and THEN they shot him three times in the forehead.

It's just incredible, in the original meaning of the word. If you tried to write this as a nefarious fictional movie plot, there'd be eye-rolling in the theatre seats and smartass movie reviews that featured the word "preposterous."

But the horrible thing is, it's true. It happened. And our government was involved.

8. WTF does that mean?
Are believers indifferent to the fate of their loved ones? Do non-believers have less of a right to know? This is blatant discrimination. How can thoughts of any kind enter into any consideration. This really really pisses me off. :grr:

12. It's Wrong In So Many Ways
There just isn't one right thing about this entire ugly incident and I don't know if the military even gets a scintilla of how they have so besmirched themselves

13. what it means is atheists are sub human and anything done to them is justified
and it doesn't matter if they complain because we will dismiss them as irrational sub humans because they have not accepted the lord.

Brother.

14. Which of course is such a Christian sentiment
I guess most people agree with him because I haven't heard of any response or punishment for it. It's almost like saying that killing an atheist is justifiable homicide.

15. Christ taught you only have to be nice to rich, conservative, Christians
and pretend to be nice to jews because that means God will kill them quicker.

This mush have been the disconnect felt by some during the lead up to the civil war when the bible was used to defend slavery.

And they wonder why people like me find christianity too flawed to consider as a world view.

No punishment? Remember Poppy Bush thought atheists shouldn't be citizens.

... that if you fight for America, as we define that, you automatically go to heaven"?
