Local Repub politician guilty of sex crime!!!! yawn, whats new?

The local paper had this headline today: "Ex-Berrien politician guilty of sex crime". The perp, one Michael Flory (32yrs. ex chairman of the Michigan Federation of the Young Republicans) pleaded guilty to "sexual battery for forcing sex acts on a woman while both were at a convention last July." When the judge asked him if he was pleading guilty, "Flory responded, "sure". When pressed by the judge and prodded by his attorney, Flory answered, "yes""

"He was among the young Republicans, ages 18 to 40, at a convention in Cleveland. The victim, 21 at the time, was intoxicated and became ill, and Flory took her back to her hotel, said assistant county prosecutor Carol Skutnik.

"She said thank you and good-bye, and he forced his way into her hotel room and forced several sex acts on her." Skutnik said. "Afterward he was bragging about it."

"Flory had faced 11 charges including eight counts of rape, kidnapping, aggravated burglary and gross sexual imposition."

Here is the capper!!!!! "In his energetic 1992 convention speech, Flory stressed the party's "compassionate conservatism informed by our faith in family, traditional values, in self-empowerment and justice."

These guys are nuts.....you know why they were always so up in arms about Clinton? They were pissed and jealous because he got sex the normal way and he didn't have to pay for it (Vitter), bugger a young page in the capital, or rape a girl to get it. They are sick puppies.

... appreciate the last President this country actually elected thinking that getting sex "the normal way" involved accepting the free, fat pussy of an insecure underling, and then maintaining a dangerous relationship with her.

If you're smart enough to be President and immoral enough to cheat on your wife, the least you can do (for yourself, your family, the Democrats who supported your election and all Americans who you governed) is pay some pro for some discretion.

If the last freely elected leader of the Free World didn't know that, maybe he should have switched parties to be a Republican where such tasteless behavior comes naturally and is rewarded handsomely, instead of just sucking up to the progenitors of our current pResident after he left office.

10. I agree with you, my point

in even posting this is that the Republicans have seemed so "over the top" about his transgression. Even obsessed with it. I find it strange that other Republicans who cheat on their wives, leave their wives when they are in the hospital with cancer, have other transgressions are forgiven, their behaviour explained away. Yet Clinton is the devil...why is that?

11. I agree that rethugs who live in smut-filled houses shouldn't throw stones.

And wasting so much time impeaching Clinton for some unappetizing sex seems downright bizarre compared with the nation-threatening crimes that we are living with now. Don't get me wrong -- I believe Clinton was a very accomplished and talented President, and our nation was well served by his leadership. I just wish he had acted less Rethug-like in his personal behavior.

My Daddy taught me that dipping your pen in the company inkwell is never a good idea. (And he should know. I dated the daughter of my Daddy's former receptionist twice before he sat me down to inform me she was my half-sister.)
