Poll question: Time to change the name of Paparazzi
It makes them sound too official, too professional.

If you have ever been on the receiving end of a paparazzi attack, you quickly feel for every single movie star or politico who has had to suffer from their behavior, stunts, and worse.
Unfortunately, instead of being a rarity, their behavior has become the norm, what with SUVs with dishes, helicopters and bugged cell phones.

Looking at MSNBC and CNN, and watching the cable media go as nuts on some dumb blond's second DUI (nicole somebody or other), I think we need to change the Paparazzi name to something more descriptive. If you have a better term, please share.

It is bad enough for NY Post, inquirer and other rags to concentrate on besotted hiltonistas, but when cable news does it, I feel like screaming. News should be about news, not bimbettes.

3. Fellini invented the word so I say don't change it
Have some respect!!!

Really, the word comes from the name of a character in La Dolce Vita.
Check a good dictionary and it will confirm this.
