Hillary was Gladys and the rest were the Pips. That was the comment that had me turn off CNN's Post Debate Coverage. :puke:

I hope it got better after that...but I'm not staying around to listen to crap like that.

Dumb, and inaccurate imo.

10. It was BIZARRE! that's why I turned it off. Was he trying to get a Sound Byte in the Politico for
tomorrows edition? I've heard alot of weird stuff on CNN about Dems...but this one is really off the wall.

11. Personally, I think that insults Gladys Knight ... one of my FAVORITE Motown singers.
Gladys Knight and the Pips WORKED far harder to get where they got than anyone on that stage, imho.

12. Agree....but i wondered why Toobin would mention a Group that isn't one that You Tubers
Edited on Mon Jul-23-07 08:39 PM by KoKo01
would really be in sync with to know what he was talking about. Besides it was totally off base what he said. No relation to anything except Toobin trying to be cluelessly funny.

13. Well ... we have DUers comparing Hillary to Madonna.
The only similarity I can think of is 15-20 semi trucks full of support gear and 'performance' equipment.

15. Did you see her comment regarding the Pentagon?
That one of her Gladys Knight moments. It was clear at that point that she had gone beyond election year smoke and mirrors. One got the impression that someone at the Pentagon better get her an answer or their ass is grass.

That's far above stating a position on an issue and far beyond what the other candidates bring.

16. Oh comeon guys! All Tubin meant wa that Hillary won the debate,
and I agree with him! Maybe he should have used a different group just to please you? I suspect Tubin is close to the same age as I am, and the singing gps that all come to my mine all happen to be black too! The Supremes, Spmkey Joe & the Miracle, and all the rest! Yea, I'm an old white broad the those are still my favorite groups from the past! Go for the meaning behind the comment and stop trying to inject race into EVERYTHING!

18. Who injected Race into it? I was wondering why he'd pick a group that's way before You Tube
that made him look disconnected and comparing Dems to an Early Rock Group from late 50's and 60's was totally bizarre and off the mark. Would he have said that Repugs in a Debate reminded him of the Temptations or the Rolling Stones? :shrug;

17. The debates were fine, and they all did well, but watching the maggots on CNN trying to
dig up some rotting meat to feed on, repulses me.
I can't wait to watch the coverage of republicans counter debate.
