Americans See Liberal Media Bias on TV News
By a 39% to 20% margin, American adults believe that the three major broadcast networks deliver news with a bias in favor of liberals. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 25% believe that ABC, CBS, and NBC deliver the news without any bias.

Similar results are found for CNN and National Public Radio (NPR). By a margin of 33% to 16%, Americans say that CNN has a liberal bias. The nation’s adults say the same about NPR by a 27% to 14% margin.

There is one major exception to the belief that media outlets have a liberal bias—Fox News. Thirty-one percent (31%) of Americans say it has a bias that favors conservatives while 15% say it has a liberal bias.

When it comes to delivering news without bias, 37% believe NPR accomplishes that goal. Thirty-six percent (36%) say the same for Fox and 32% believe it’s true of CNN. As noted earlier, just 25% believe the major broadcast networks deliver news in an unbiased manner. Results for other media outlets will be released over the next week.

Want to bet their internals show that more RW nutjobs are the larges segment polled? I know...it's Rasmussen. It's to be expected from them.

3. 39% of Americans have a bias towards stupidity?
I guess it's not all that surprising considering that almost 30% still support the shrub. And only 31% says that Fox has a conservative bias? Dear god, what are the other 69% smoking?

They've been told this repeatedly on the RW media and they've learned the message.

5. This really doesn't surprise.
It's been an article of faith among conservatives that the media is "liberal"--they have this drummed into them all the time. I figure that's good for about 35-40% of America.

It's a stupid thing to believe, of course, but then if they were bright, they wouldn't be conservatives.

10. Republicans see a strong liberal bias on all the outlets except Fox.
Forty-nine percent (49%) of the GOP faithful see Fox as fair and balanced.

They are confusing "Liberal BIAS" with telling the TRUTH.

A quarter of the respondents got it RIGHT. More than those who said that the media are conservative.

16. This poll was designed to put MSM on the defensive.
Just as some of the networks are beginning to wake up it is not surprising that the liberal media mantra is raised. These people are so predictable.

17. That's because the liberally biased media
keeps telling them that the media is liberally biased. And it must be true, because even the liberals at CNN say it's true. The logic behind this conclusion is simply impeccable.:freak:

20. On the other hand...
85 percent of Americans want to hear less about Anna Nicole Smith, so the remaining 15 percent must be that same group that thinks Fux has a liberal bias.

Conclusion: At a minimum, 15 percent of Americans make Cream of Wheat look brilliant.

30. Well take the 15% of the 26% that still support *
they are dumb as bricks and should be stashed somewhere where they wont harm themselves or others...that means * is sitting at 11% approval, having removed the 15% "Clods".

26. I would be more interested in seeing, corporate versus people bias.
I believe people have different definitions of what liberal or conservative are and the corporate media has played a large part in festering these divisions, instead of finding common ground. I believe this is because, they in fact serve corporate interests and the easiest way to conquer your enemy, in this case the American People, is to divide and conquer them.

So please corporate media show us some polls reflecting whether or not the American People believe there is a "corporate versus people bias" in the news you feed us.
