5. I was raised Catholic. We were told all that crap about the 'one true church' everyday.
I don't even listen to what they say anymore. Catholic church=original spin.

Catholics are the best when it comes to critiquing their own religion (I'm Catholic), and are usually liberal, except when it comes to abortion.

9. Colbert, as far as I can tell, is an observant Catholic....
Its just that he doesn't like the Church, which is actually, as far as I can tell, being raised Catholic myself, actually quite typical for Catholics. I'm no longer one, my Dad and Mom are, both lapsed, and my Mother has no kind words for the church, especially in regards to its position on Abortion and Gay rights.
