21. For Someone With Such Biting Rhetoric, It Certainly Appears She Can't Handle Criticism.

As soon as she moved towards too extreme a position and got criticized heavily, she supposedly gave up the peace movement. Then she comes back with a totally out of her mind post on Kos and now when she gets criticized for that she claims she's leaving there as well.

At some point I hope she comes to realize that it is not her environment causing the criticisms, but her words and actions themselves.

I hope so bad with all my heart that she comes back from the fringe a bit. I still have so much respect for things she had done and passion she put forth, but I obviously can't support her when she's gone over the edge of sanity like this. I just hope she pulls herself back from the grasp of the irrational/delusional extremists, so that she can once again be someone of which I can be proud and offer full support. It's like the louder they throw the tantrum the more we should ignore the reality. It's the typical "you don't get it" game that is a regular sport in these environs. Some are true believers that want to believe what they want and nothing you nor I or anyone can say that will change things...if anything, dare to question and be prepared to have all type of flames cast at you. Others are our friendly agent provacateurs who enjoy the distractions and bad feelings one of these games entail.

Sadly, Cindy has allowed this thing to get personal and has said things that have offended people who were previous supporters and given ammo to her many critics. It's a shame as when she allows the issue to be on her it takes away from the thousands of suffering mothers, fathers and other family members who also have lost a loved one in Iraq and don't have the media access she does.

I wish she'd go back to asking the question that made me respect her. That was simply addressed to one person...the asshat squatting in the White House...and a one word question: Why?

We are no closer to the answer now as we were three summers ago.
