Bush On Saddam: ‘That Motherf*cker Tried To Take Out My Dad’
Edited on Sat Jul-14-07 09:00 PM by MagickMuffin
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/07/14/bush-saddam-dad/

Today on the progressive radio program The Cappy McGarr Show, host Cappy McGarr reveals through a conversation with former Sen. Majority Leader Tom Daschle that in private, Bush’s real motivation was a personal vendetta:

Of all the reasons used to justify this awful war, the one that stunned me the most…and will shock you…was the one I heard from a close friend of mine former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. Senator Daschle was Majority Leader at the time.

The Senate and The House Leadership were meeting with President Bush for a weekly breakfast back then, and as our country was leading up to the Iraq war. … Bush got to talking about why we needed this war, and here’s what he said to Senator Daschle “We need to get Saddam Hussein…that Mother _______ tried to take out my Dad.”

6. Well since G*d is the only father the Mad king Boy George consulted
before the war, I would say perhaps you are correct.

Isn't it a SAD affair that Tom D. didn't mention this before over 3000 soldiers and countless Iraqi's had to die at the hands of this War Profiteering War Mongering lunatic.

16. The plot to kill Bush was BS........
There is a LOT more to that. The person who first announced they broke up the plot was none other than the father of the girl who testified in Congress about Iraqi soldiers throwing babies out of incubators in a hospital. Later, as we all know, she was safely in Washington at the time. I do not believe for one nanosecond Saddam tried to take Bush Sr. out. He, in his mind, had a right to, but I never once believed there was a plot to do so. Dig for it, the truth is there.

10. Then a 'puke called to say that was enough to invade Iraq!
Of course this koolaid drinker said that Saddam tried to kill "the president of the United States" then asked if that wasn't enough reason to go to war. Cappy went off on him saying we'rea superpower. We don't invade and occupy countries to settle personal scores. The next caller reminded Cappy that Bush 41 was an ex-president when he was targeted in Kuwait.

I like that Cappy guy. He really gets to the point and says it like it is.

This is the first time I've heard of Cappy....

And if he is questioning the justification of the lies behind this invasion then I want to hear more...

12. I was listening to XM Radio on the Air America channel 167
Check AirAmericaRadio.com . XM's scheduling is so screwy anymore that I don't know if he's part of the AAR schedule. It was on right after The Agenda about noon MDT today.

I really liked the guy. Straight talk and called BS when he heard it. Wasn't rude either just gave the facts.

15. Have you googled Cappy McGarr?
There is some very interesting stuff here...

Like his campaign contributions which you can see here

http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?st=&zip=75219&last=MCGARR&first=CAPPY

He's a public benefactor in Dallas TX area (I knew I liked his accent!)

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/columnists/all/stories/022005dnbusmiller.6472b.html

He was a member of the Council For Foreign Relations in 2004

Well I guess this pretty much sums up his career..

Cappy McGarr (Executive Producer) is President of McGarr Capital Holdings, LLC, an investment company in Dallas, Texas. He served as a Trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts from 1996 to 2002. He has championed the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize since its inception. McGarr serves on the Board of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation and is a member of the Board of The Foundation for the National Archives. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. He is a past Chairman of the Development Board of the University of Texas at Austin. McGarr has appeared on Wall $treet Week, and has been featured twice in Barron’s. He received three degrees from the University of Texas, a Bachelor of Arts in 1973, Bachelor of Journalism in 1975 and a Master of Business Administration in 1977.

There is a lot more too. Nothing so far about why he decided to host a radio show. I hope that he keeps it up though.

13. Remember when * said that he consults with a "Higher Father"?
I seem to remember something that Higher Father said, at least if the Bible is to be believed: "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord".

20. I guess our country's independence is considered "old news" as well
No matter how "old news" it is, it should be considered as new news when we have people who expose the "old news" to make it new again...

 He didn't care when his daughter was going into surgery, in fact he went fishing. His parents played golf on the day their daughter was buried, they didn't even tell george that his sister had died. That family is really messed up. I don't think they have any real/normal feelings for each other.

Dysfunctional was the word I was looking for. The bu$h is just that.
