Bush believes that dead American soldiers is the measure of progress.
And we're making that progress -- he just can't tell us what it is. That's probably for our own security, though. Can't divulge too much in-fer-ma-shun. Gotta smoke 'em out. Keep secure. They're comin' fer us. Comin' fer yer kids. Heh heh.

But, you know, he certainly couldn't take credit if, by some miracle, things turned around in Iraq.

He just spent about an hour blaming everything on the Iraqis, the US Congress, Tommy Franks, the UN, etc...

His cohorts in the right-wing press blame the Democrats who voted for the war and President Clinton (of course).

So, basically, Bush is responsible for nothing.

And people wonder why the rest of the world is laughing at us.
