CONFIRMED: Yesterday's Conspiracy of Fear Related to Bush's Speech and His Embattlement.
Heard today on a local Dallas news station:

Okay, where do I start. Yesterday we had a number of "terror scares" here in the U.S. In L.A., there was some dumb scare involving a man running up a ramp at the airport or whatever. We also had a small suspicious package in NYC that of course ended up to be nothing. I didn't know about the NYC terror threat until I heard it on the news a couple minutes ago.

An embattled President Bush was speaking yesterday amidst a major Republican revolt over the war, some even calling for troop withdraw. Bush said he doesn't believe in "precipitous withdrawls" (actual wording he used, no kidding!). He hit hard on the "consequences of failure." Meanwhile, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, apparently the nation's new soothsayer in chief, says he has a gut feeling Al Queda will attack us again because they like to attack in the summer (even though September 11 was NOT the middle of summer, DUH) and yet he didn't raise the terror threat level.

Today, the news went directly from a discussion on Chertoff's dumb statements to yesterday's terror threats to Bush's speech to Iraq. And then they said this (paraphrased from memory): The general terror threat is realted to events in Iraq and the President wanted to make that clear.

He made it clear alright...and it's pretty dam obvious to me it's all carefully orchestrated to hoodwink the American people. My question today is, who then should we fear more? Bush or the terrorists?

2. The general terror threat is indeed related to events in Iraq.
When there are reports about how badly things are going in Iraq, bushco raises the general threat of terror.

6. To a lot of the world, Bush IS the terrorist they most fear.
He started a war against a sovereign nation that had done nothing to us. They had nothing to do with 9/11, they weren't harboring terrorists, and they were not in a position to be an immediate threat to us.

So why did we go there?

To much of the world, Bush is the terrorist they fear.

8. Precupitous (for the record)
pre·cip·i·tous (prĭ-sĭp'ĭ-təs) adj.

1. Resembling a precipice; extremely steep. See synonyms at steep.
2. Having several precipices: a precipitous bluff.
3. Usage Problem. Extremely rapid, hasty, or abrupt; precipitate: “The change has included a precipitous collapse of Communist authority” (New York Times). See Usage Note at precipitate.

(Probably from obsolete precipitious, from Latin praecipitium, precipice.)

(One good thing about Bush is that he makes us more conscious of word usage.)

18. bushco*
did I say that loud enough cause if not I can try harder. The bush* cabal are the reason for the terrorist in the first place, imo they want things to be this way, and its not only because its easier to steal when chaos is the order, they want control, an empire that encircles the globe. The bush* cabal are more dangerous to our constitution than anything or anyone ever, bar none

21. A phone call from Busholini to Osama.
"Hey O (Nick for Osama) you get your guys to attack in the US together ASAP. We need another one so we can take over completely. Uh, the check will be in the usual account. Thanks."
