Isn't that the chaplain who got in hot water for hanging out with the christo-fascists?

34. I don't believe all Repug Senators want to fillibuster
but now the majority of them want to add other resolutions to the debate. Something about an up or down vote on a Judge.

of our Constitutional rights of bushie instead of their sickening protocols about discussing this very important issue. We probably get more done than these weasels.

before the next election! The GOP is so screwed. Senator Warner is looking for time for himself to speak, and Hagel and Collins.

22. The Repubs are doing all they can to gum up the works
Byrd is objecting to what they are trying to do - he has reserved an hour. They are talking about morning business, and Byrd and Schumer are not buying, although I must say, I am totally confused.

Durbin asked about a 5:30 vote for cloture. It is scheduled for then.

26. Durbin: we are witnessing the spectacle of a president
and a Republican Senate that will not even have a debate. While we lose one soldier a day, we don't debate.

If the Republicans want to support their president's policy and throwing the soldiers into this, then they should have the courage to stand up and support the war and their President. - Durbin

29. Does this remind anyone else of Monty Python's
routine in the Holy Grail where the father told the guards to stay with the boy and keep him from leaving. The guard kept messing up the instructions: We can only leave with him. NOOOOO!!

This is the Senate today.

the troops by knowingly keeping them in an un winnable war and not doing enough to advocate for them or something to that effect. Actually I think he is just taking up time until 4 pm when I think the Iraq debate starts or is supposed to.
