Our Troops Slipping Morale

If only Osama had been caught the morale of our troops would be much better.

As it is, Obl is still free to roam. And now we hear that Osama's #2 man was just spared an American missile because of politics in Pakistan.

If morale is slipping I think we know why.

1. Morale is slipping because

The troops are being treated as cannon fodder, get no respite from the day to day grind of being shot at and blown up, and are being sent back to the front with untreated brain injuries.

Bombing inside a sovereign nation is not a good plan, that's how you got into Iraq and Afghanistan in the first place! In fact, it's against international law, and I suspect that an international war crimes tribunal is somewhere in the future of the folks who decided that ignoring international law was A Very Good Idea.

All empires lead to death and fascism and dismantling of the infrastructure, and the US is about there.

2. Yeah

I wish our troops were all home and none of this had ever happened. But when you have a fully loaded military laying around and someone like cheney gets his finger on the trigger.... well, what did we expect?

Thing is the low troop morale is not our fault, it is the fault of the CiC.
