Poll question: If the impeachment movement were to gain enough traction where..
...it appeared eminent that Bush and Cheney were both going to be impeached, do you believe BushCo would attempt to interrupt/halt the process via intimidation, murder, staged national emergency, or some other means?

An Open Letter to Nancy Pelosi

When the NYT made BushCo so irate in finally coming forward with the illegal wire tapping story they'd been sitting on due to WH pressure for over a year, it was only a matter of a couple weeks before long time, well known, NYT reporter (then retired) David Rosenbaum was bludgeoned to death while walking in what police described as a very safe neighborhood.

These are war criminals, what wouldn't they do to keep from being impeached?

1. I think they might try something, but I don't think it would work.
Impeachment would put Bush/Cheney under a microscope. Everything they do and say will be questioned. Plus, neither likes operating with a spotlight on them, which impeachment would surely bring.

I wouldn't put it past them to try something, but I think ultimately it would fail because too many people would be watching for something like that.

2. It's real hard to look through a microscope
in a room where the lights are off. Questioners would disappear and die, and congressmen terrified into cooperation with the regime. I put nothing past them.

I think they would try something, and the odds are in favor of them succeeding, in the short term. They will do anything to try to preserve their coup, including starting a new war in Iran, and black ops "Operations Northwoods" type actions at home to terrify the public into supporting them.

My only solace is, as I think it was Ghandi noted, the tyrants eventually all fail and disappear. I don't look forward to the years it may take for that to happen.

3. Gandhi is a great source of wisdom and inspiration ...
...so is MLK. Reacquainting ourselves with the teachings of these men is essential for the times we're living in.
