We are still the same small focus group.

Peace all. It all really makes me angry, I'll keep fighting, but just look.

Is there really any MSM coverage, no, I didn't think so.

Millions of us gathered as one and it didn't happen as far as anyone needs to know anyway. What is on the 24 hour news channels right now?

How did the big three networks cover Woodstock when the concert was going on? Did they cover it at all?

Of course the media isn't going to give it legs-who owns the media?
the same people that want unprecidented consumption

The whole world saw it and the whole world knows what needs to be done
call me hopelessly optimistic, but I dont think the world needs a rehashing of past events to keep moving forward.
We'll see soon enough if people want to make the earth cleaner.

become your own media-spread the word-because the corporate owned media will not, and that shouldn't suprise you

9. You're wasting your time
What good does it do to whine about anything? If you don't like the attention this is getting, then do it yourself. Go check all the newspaper forums in your state and make sure discussions are going on. Go make copies of the pledge and get people to sign them. Every single time something gets some positive momentum around here, somebody shows up to criticize.

From : 1. the OP was "whining" ( a truly unfortunate use of language)about something that may or may not have been true, i.e. media minimalization of the event. His problem was he's not doing enough other things to promote the cause. ( I'll leave alone the Q of how you happen to know this to be true.)

To: The OP's premise is "ridiculous". There's been no significant media minimalization of the event.

24. "Grow up" and "Stop whining" are not arguments.
And serve only to avoid serious discussion ( or "manipulative word games", as you call it. Yes, words have meaning; and discussion and constructive argumentation are built on words).

Seriously... you'd be less ineffective if you could get beyond the ad hominem stage.

14. I'm not "whining" SandnSea. Where are you going to be at noon
today? I've got plans to be out with a couple of others, where are you going to be?

I'm not criticizing at all, I'm disappointed with the coverage or lack of coverage on how special and monumentous a number of us across the planet thought yesterday, July 7, 2007 was.

Peace

I'll share again with you, I do not appreciate for a moment your "whining" statement.

17. Well then don't whine
I've already been in contact with CFL companies to find a partner to distribute bulbs to food banks. I've got a letter ready for the mayor of my town to get him to sign on to the Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. That's why I'm not whining of the futility of it all. People are trying hard every single day to make a difference.

around the world, along with a BOATLOAD of COMMERCIALS. We tuned in for about 3 minutes and got hit with the commercials and ran right back to Sundance and Bravo. Sundance broadcast until 1:00 am Sunday morning.

What exactly did this concert take the place of on "Prime Time" Saturday night? I have to laugh, out loud!

20. You can't be taken seriously
You're complaining that a broadcast network dedicated 3 hours to the concert, but showed a lot of commercials? It's a commercial broadcast network, for chrissakes.

You wouldn't be satisfied with anything. That's clear. So you can be safely ignored.
