Ted Haggard To Leave Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Evangelist Ted Haggard, who resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals last year after allegations of sexual misconduct, said he is leaving Colorado Springs.

Haggard founded the 14,000-member New Life Church here but was forced out as pastor after a former male prostitute alleged Haggard paid him for sex and sometimes used methamphetamine when they were together. Haggard, who is married, has publicly admitted to "sexual immorality."

Denver escort Mike Jones said last November that he and Haggard had a three-year tryst and that he watched Haggard take methamphetamine.

This guy is such a hypocrite spouting off about gays etc., marriage in the documentary. And the ickiest part shows him asking two guys about having sex with their wives, how often they have sex, how often do their wives climax -- I thought I would barf, knowing what this guy did and then having the cajones to act like he was hetero. I am not against gays in any way, but I am against people who lie about themselves and try to pass off as something they are not.

And then have the audacity to bash other people for their preferences. This CON attitude is especially poisonous. Just like Cheney, talk about hypocrites!!! It doesn't count if our family does it, but thou shalt not be homosexual!! :mad:

They sure couldn't get enough when a Democrat gets his stiffie in a pickle. Surely the hate radio hyenas would be blowing their circuits if a prominent Democratic figure were to suffer a similar fate...and we'd hear about it early and often...and for decades (like the Teddy Kennedy "jokes"). But when a hypocrite is exposed within their midst, the wingnuts and their corporate media toadies are quick to ingore them and even dare to attack us for noting the irony.

Well, my bets are Dobson...whose down the road...moves in on Haggarty's turf. 14,000 members is a lot of plates being filled. Here's hoping Haggerty gets a residual check for appearing in Alexandra Pelosi's film.

Speaking of the mighty who have fallen...anyone heard from former Cong. Foley lately? Any idea how that investigation is coming?
