How cold is it?
As we used to say in college:

It's colder than a proverbial sorcerers mammary gland in the deepest darkest depths of purgatory

Hasn't been this cold for a long time, I guess that puts to rest any talk of global warming he he
:sarcasm:

9. The squirrel jokes are staples on the Letterman show
"It's so humid I saw a squirrel pudding baby powder on his nuts."

"It's raining so hard I saw a squirrel putting a life vest on his nuts."

Have some fun and make up some up, too!

15. 90? Inland Valleys?
I double-checked the Natl Weather Service site, it was 87 today at USC, near downtown LA. So I lied about 86.

Just another shitty day in Paradise. :-)

20. Today, I walked my dog at dusk and didn't need a sweater.
It's weird to be out on a Feb night in a t-shirt. It's usually colder and raining and I should have needed a raincoat and an umbrella. Today, there was big sun here.

23. It's colder than Cheney's heart
(if he still has one).

We are just starting to warm up here. It was 50+ today, but 3 days ago it was -9 and the windchill was as low as -35. And this coming week will be the first one that we haven't had at least a couple inches of snow.

29. Up here I got the deer eating my Cedar trees.
When a white tail deer does that, you know it's cold. Why? Because the Cedar causes them to get sick, via a fever, and thus they able to endure the cold better.

34. Cold enough to close nearly every school in the state for today and most likely
tomorrow. - Ohio.

Wind chills for the kids ya know.

Wish they would have thought of that when I was standing at the end of a 1/4 long driveway trying to hide behind a tiny pine tree to protect myself from the wind on a cold ass day in February back in the day. With a cheerleader skirt on too. In February with the wind blowing hard enough that you had to lean into it to make yourself a little more aerodynamic in order to stay upright and not get blown on your ass.

It is a wonder more of us did not expire as children when we were kids.

The proverbial "I walked two miles to school when I was young" story. Sigh...each generation gets softer and softer and softer.

35. Courthouse camera saw man who may have frozen to death
Monday, February 05, 2007Jesse TinsleyPlain Dealer Reporter

http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/portage/1170669079146970.xml&coll=2

...Police are now hoping to speak to a man who at first helps but eventually abandons Barry Kolcan, 47, of Ravenna, just before he staggers off to die.

Courthouse cameras show Kolcan and an unidentified male helping him walk from Chestnut Street and then westbound on Spruce Street at 10:22 p.m. Friday, police said.

After Kolcan took another tumble on Spruce Street between Parkway and Meridian streets, the other man "leaves him and walks back eastbound on Spruce Street," Ravenna Police Chief Randall McCoy stated in a press release...

Police said Kolcan, who may have been exposed to subzero temperatures for several hours between Friday night and Saturday morning, had only minor injuries...
