We have at least 4 theatre chains here and not one is showing it..:grr:

We're gonna go on Tuesday morning, and the drive is worth it..but it's annoying..

3. Is 50,000 considered a large, medium or small city? I have no idea and am just curious.
Not implying anything with my question.

4. How about Champaign/Urbana with a population around 180 thousand?
You'd think it would be playing this movie, but no...

5. I think La Crosse is a small city, #12 in Wisconsin,
but you have to get up to #3, Green Bay, to get a city of over 100,000. There are more than 100,000 people in the area here. The point for our discussion here is that in the city itself there are 2 theater chains with multiple screens. There are even some of the same movies showing at both of them and some show on more than one screen.

6. I live in East Hampton, NY and it's showing here. We've only got one multiplex

but HERDS of summer people expanding our population.

I don't even know what the population of EH is year round. That's why I asked. Hard to gauge what's considered big.

I'm going to have to ask around to find out what our population is. It's just a matter or curiosity.

As for Sicko, perhaps some theaters are waiting to see if it's a big draw???

Would it help calling theater and asking?

Remember Carlyle group bought into a theater chain after F9/11 opened?

7. The metropolitan area
I live in is in red state hell. The population is just under 1 million. Sicko is not showing anywhere in the area. I suppose I could drive several hundred miles to Kansas City or Dallas or Denver to see it if I really wanted. Assuming past experience is an adequate predictor of the future then Sicko may briefly show here on one screen in another six weeks or so - provided its box office elsewhere suggests the showing is warranted. If it does show it may be at a small independent theater.

12. I looked, it's not showing ANYwhere in my metro area...
I, however, luckily, only had to walk about four feet (to the computer desk) to see it.
