11. This way he can run with either Hagel (R) or a Dem for Unity '08's ticket.
Gives him a lot of leeway to pick his running mate. There is a bit of difference between him and Hagel--Bloomberg's socially liberal, Hagel's a social conservative. Otherwise, aside from that (and maybe gun control), I guess they're pretty similar.

2. It would be cool if we could get him to run on our side.
He's got the right idea on terrorism, I tell you that speech he gave recently, the one where he talked about the statistics of dying in a terrorist attack, that's what makes me want him to be President. He's got enough money, he can run. I see him like an FDR. Rich, yes, but still understanding of the poor and willing to raise taxes on the rich.

13. No, he is NOT willing to raise taxes on the rich.
He is, however, willing to clear all commercial traffic off Manhattan streets to facilitate the limousines.

In many respects an excellent mayor, but he's been too rich too long and some things he has clean forgotten.

10. An all-New York slate? It could happen.
Hillary v. Rudy v. Bloomberg? I can see a few southern states refusing to vote at all.

14. Does he hurt the left or the right?
In the Presidential election?

Will this take votes away from the Dem nominee, or the Republican? Or is it a split?

21. If he ran, he'd hurt Hillary and Giuliani ... bad. Mitt not as much. So, do the math.
Edited on Tue Jun-19-07 05:42 PM by TahitiNut
If Hillary ran against Fred or McCain or Mitt ... she'd be hurt.
If Obama ran against Giulianai ... Obama wins with wider margin.
If Kucinich or Edwards ran against anyone ... they'd win and Bloomberg hurts the right more than the left.
