Watched a BBC America film this Sunday; The Blair Trial.
Premise is that Blair reneges on retirement and is in office 'til 2010 and is called to the Hague to answer for Iraq. Funniest line came early on when Blair is reading the paper and says, "He's back in rehab." Wife asks who and he says "George Bush of course." LMAO!

1. There need to be sequels "The Cheney Trial" and "The Bush Trial"
...and perhaps a full season mini series featuring the political hack of the week, i.e. Rove; Rumsfeld; Condi Rice; Powell; Ashcroft; etc.

2. "...back in rehab"??? He never went, by his own admission. From what I hear,

he really needs to do real rehab.

Yeah, I know, it's only TV.

5. The implication was the Bush had gone into rehab, fell off the wagon
and went back into rehab.

On the last day of the G8 summit he was too sick to see anyone until noon. The brit press had pics of him the evening before having a few beers with other delegates. The symptoms reported sounded an awful lot like the beer flu. Had that several times myself . . .

3. The actual name is "The Trial of Tony Blair"
(just in case you're checking your local listings).

If you get a chance to watch it, do so - it's great.

6. You left off the last line
I saw that broadcast, too. Here's how I remember those lines when Blair and his wife are at the breakfast table and he's reading the morning paper:

Tony: "Oh dear, I'm afraid George is back in rehab"

Wife: "Do you mean George Bush?"

Tony: "Yes, they found him at his ranch completely comatose"

Wife: "I'm surprised anyone noticed"

8. To be truthful I didn't hear the whole conversation, I was laughing so
hard I couldn't catch my breath. I'll have to rewind the tape and play it again.

7. Hey we watched it too!
I put up a notice in GD, but it sunk like a rock (Iraq, get it?) I thought no one cared.

Movie was pretty amusing, although I admit to falling asleep during the last 15 minutes.
