Rumsfeld and Cheney go to a Party
In case you wanted to know what 2 of America's war criminals were doing this weekend.

They celebrated

While others died
While others were tortured
While others were held in secret - and not so secret - prisons

4. And the blood goes back to the Reagan/Central America years
Edited on Sun Jun-17-07 06:00 PM by herbster
These people have had blood on their hands for a long, long time, but I doubt they lose any sleep over what they've done. This is the insider/"elite" part of DC society that I despise.

Methinks it is DOA, but I felt good doing it.

16. It looks like her. Nancy Reynolds - Republican lobbyist.

The 80th birthday party for Nancy Reynolds, long-time lobbyist and Reagan family friend, brought out the Republican heavyweights.

Vice President Dick Cheney and Lynne Cheney, former Defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Joyce Rumsfield, Mike and Carolyn Deaver, Reagan attorney general Ed Meese and chief of staff Craig Fuller came to toast the glowing Reynolds, who was leaving the next morning for Africa. Rumsfeld seemed very relaxed and talked about heading off to the Eastern Shore, where both he and Cheney have second homes.

There were even a few Democrats sprinkled around the room—Reynolds’s former lobbying partner Ann Wexler, who served in the Carter White House; her son Dave, a Clinton aide; and lobbyist Michael Berman.

The party was held at Wexler & Walker, Reynolds’s old firm, hosted by Reynolds’s sons, Michael Reynolds and Kurt Wurzberger.

Reynolds will have a second birthday celebration in Morocco next week.

Read below for pictures from the event.

18. The lady in my other post is from Wichita, KS
During the lovefest for Bush there a couple of days ago. The bag scared me!

(Either interpretation of 'bag' works here, actually...)

12. They are sociopaths
They are able to profit from this illegal war, and don't give a damn about all of the suffering and loss of life, whether American or Iraqi. It's ironic, Solly Mack, that so many of us here at DU stay anguished about this war, and we were against it from the beginning. My husband tells me sometimes that I think about it too much, but the whole thing makes me sick. How can I look the other way, while so many fellow humans are having their lives ruined?

17. Of course they celebrate torture, death squads and the "money trumps peace" doctrine
Nancy Reynolds "worked" for Ronald Reagan for over ten years, she was Nancy Reagan's pr pro, she was a linchpin to Michael Deaver-but most of all she "helped" fund and gathered "support" for the death squads and torturers south of the border-especially Guatemala, where the front organization Nancy Reynolds was so much a part of was called Amigos del Pais (Friends of the Country). She was involved behind the scenes in Iran/Contra.

Check it out for yourselves, no wonder she's heading to Morocco next.

These people have enabled, supported and profited by committing crimes against humanity for decades.
