Mom's Baby Monitor Picks Up Shuttle Atlantis Video
Monitor Picking Up Signal Of Neighbor's Wireless TV Device

Natalie Meilinger said she was checking on her son Jack last weekend when she turned on the baby monitor and saw astronauts from the Shuttle Atlantis, which docked at the International Space Station on Sunday.

She also saw mission control at the Johnson Space Center and a map of the space station's trajectory.

Meilinger called a friend who has the same type of baby monitor and asked if she was seeing the same thing. The friend wasn't, so Meilinger called the monitor's manufacturer, but they couldn't help her.

3. Make sure you change the diapers on the right one, though
Some of those astronauts can get mighty testy...

4. Great item for the little one's baby book!
My grandfather used to call me Sputnik, after the Russian craft that was launched within a couple of year of my birth. I'd be tempted to nickname this kid Atlantis:)

5. Reminds me of back in the 70s when we all had CB radios
and my neighbor's illegal high-powered transmitter often interrupted my TV programs, blasting out his CB conversations at 10 times normal volume.

8. I used to get my neighbor's phone calls on our monitor.
It was hard not to listen in, but the one time I did, I found out they really didn't have anything to talk about.

9. LOL!
Eavesdropping is highly overrated.

Sometimes I check-in on my kids' MySpace pages and usually the conversations are really boring.

really wild stuff. I could listen in on my SW receiver to all kids of stuff, includiing boring Air Trffic stuff, (I used to hope I'd hear something about UFO's or some disaster waiting to happen, but it was routine boring clap-trap...:( ).

If I turned on the baby nonitor and got the Shuttle and spacewalks, I'd be happy as a clam though...:D
