No, really...why did we invade Iraq?
I thought it was to depose Saddam Hussein...which we did.

I thought it was to depose the nasty Sunni government...which we did.

And now we are arming the Sunnis, with a pinky promise from them not to use them against us????

Will the madness ever end?

It was the OIL!

After bu$h got his blank check from congress the prices of gas have dropped at the pump. The media tells us it is something else but think about for one minute.

5. "Rebuilding Americas Defenses"...
The policy paper written by the PNAC crowd, along with the rest of the stuff they wrote that's made it into the public sphere.

Read it and comprehend.

Don't read it and continue to live in ignorance.

6. To make Bush** the "war president", to get the flags waving, to appeal
to patriotism. With boots on the ground and Bush** as "Commander in chief", how could one vote for anyone else? Rove planned it and pulled it off with imbedded media and flags waving all over the place.

18. So we all agree...
We have been lied to. We have been deceived. We have tons of evidence that our leaders are criminals and are putting our lives in danger. Our country is unrecognizable from 6 years ago. The doomsday clock is set to 5 minutes to midnight.

So what are we going to do about it?

Maybe we need to do what Larry Flynt is doing and offer huge amounts of money to anyone who can provide information that will finally get rid of the interlopers in our country.

Maybe Michael Moore or someone with visibility will get behind this and set up a fund.

19. why war?

The American Empire: 1992 to present
from the book
Killing Hope
by William Blum
2004 edition

Following its bombing of Iraq in 1991, the United States wound up with military bases in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Following its bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, the United States wound up with military bases in Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Hungary, Bosnia and Croatia.
Following its bombing of Afghanistan in 2001-2, the United States wound up with military bases in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Yemen and Djibouti.
Following its bombing and invasion of Iraq in 2003, the United States wound up with Iraq.
This is not very subtle foreign policy. Certainly not covert. The men who run the American Empire are not easily embarrassed.
And that is the way the empire grows-a base in every neighborhood, ready to be mobilized to put down any threat to imperial rule, real or imagined. Fifty-eight years after world War II ended, the United States still has major bases in Germany and Japan; fifty ears after the end of the Korean War, tens of thousands of American armed forces continue to be stationed in South Korea.

Making a Killing
The Business of War

A Brief History of U.S. Interventions:
1945 to the Present
by William Blum
Z magazine , June 1999
The engine of American foreign policy has been fueled not by a devotion to any kind of morality, but rather by the necessity to serve other imperatives, which can be summarized as follows:
* making the world safe for American corporations;
* enhancing the financial statements of defense contractors at home who have contributed generously to members of congress;
* preventing the rise of any society that might serve as a successful example of an alternative to the capitalist model;
* extending political and economic hegemony over as wide an area as possible, as befits a "great power."
This in the name of fighting a supposed moral crusade against what cold warriors convinced themselves, and the American people, was the existence of an evil International Communist Conspiracy, which in fact never existed, evil or not.
The United States carried out extremely serious interventions into more than 70 nations in this period.http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Blum/US_Interventions_WBlumZ.html

21. To make sure Iraq's oil never reaches American shores?
Thus driving up the price of the oil those scumfucks have to unheard of prices?

Hell that's why I think they want to bomb Iran, it's not to "liberate them from terrorists", it's to contaminate their oil supplies to make those rich fuckers even richer.
