Why I don't trust Florida Gov. Charlie Crist
He's a career Repug, who has managed to climb the political ladder one rung at a time. Everything that he's done lately simply shows that he knows how to gauge public opinion. Don't forget this is the same man who took millions of $$$ from the insurance companies. This is the same "Chain Gang Charlie" who supported chain gangs in prisons (hence the nickname). He opposes gay rights, supports vouchers for private and religious schools, among other things.

And if that's not enough, there's this:

The man is crooked, just like most Repugs.

1. He's also refusing to take a
paternity test in a situation where he's 99.9% the father - add DEAD BEAT DAD to the list, you know, the list with all those wonderful Repuke family values.

3. even if he were the biological father he would owe no child support

as the child was adopted and the legal responsibility was on and met by her parents.

2. His eventual goal - the White House
Mark my words. He'll take a "liberal" stance on many issues while he's governor of Florida, setting himself up for a potential presidential run. If we win in '08, then he'll run in '12. Heck, I wouldn't be too surprised to see him on the repug ticket in '08 as the VP candidate.

Like I said, he's a career politician. The governorship is merely another rung for him. He'll do whatever it takes to be President someday.

4. I disagree
First of all, while a career politician, he's not Presidential material.
Secondly, he is not willing to withstand the massive media inquest into his sexuality.

5. Who knows...
I agree, he's not "presidential" material. But having lived in Florida for years, I never thought he was "governor" material either, I always assumed he'd simply move from one post to another, maybe run for Congress at some point.

6. I am willing to give him a chance
so far he seems to have the citizens of Fl. in view and he is a Floridian, not like the phony Jeb~!
I am impressed with what he is trying to do.

7. Yeah...I'm taking a "Wait and See" attitude also.....There's been a..
...few good things that he's done already.
I DO think he's way better than Ol'Jeb though...

8. As a Floridian, I agree.
So far, I can appreciate the issues he's been working on. His efforts to cut the cost of insurance are very, very badly needed. I'm going to give him a chance, as much as past experience tells me not to.
