Snow: Bush Will Not Listen To No Confidence Vote
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/06/10/snow-no-confidence/

Tomorrow, the Senate will introduce a no confidence resolution on the management and credibility of embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Rarely used throughout American history, the resolution, if passed, would be a “historical black mark” on Gonzales and the Bush administration.

On Fox News Sunday today, White House spokesperson Tony Snow said that if the no confidence vote is passed — even with bipartisan support — it will have “no effect” on President Bush’s confidence in Gonzales. Snow claimed “nobody found anything untoward in terms of what happened” in the attorney scandal. He added, “there’s an attempt to pull this like a piece of taffy, seeing if there’s any political advantage in it.” Watch it:

a Congress that seems determined to avoid actually doing it's duty. If they truly have no confidence in Gonzalez, they should impeach him- not waste our time with symbolic crap. That's what the right-wing does for *their* base. I doubt it will work on the left.

You don't lose by being bold, and you don't win by being meek. Move to impeach the son of a bitch tomorrow, whether you have the votes locked up for it or not. If it doesn't pass, you've got every corrupt, Bush-supporting Republican on record as actively supporting this very unpopular AG.

I fear the Dem leadership is trying to play "keep the powder dry" yet again, honestly.

5. Like I said in a previous thread, I hope the next step after the
no confidence vote is filing a bill of impeachment! Not of Shrub...I don't think the evidence puts HIM there yet, but it sure does put Gonzo there! I don't know if they ever do polls on an AG, but I bet HIS #'s are down aroung 5%.

Same thing he said about Wolfowitz, same thing he said about Brownie.

Bush is no longer in charge of events. After Gonzo, it's Rove next.
