On the way home from work I find myself behind a couple of SUVs. (yes I was shocked too) One had a "Tancredo for President" sticker the other "Hunter '08". Those were of course stupid enough, but the Tancredo supporter also had one that says "Illegals Are Closing Our Hospitals".

I'm assuming that means that there are so many undocumented workers getting free care that the medical facilities can't stay in business. I didn't know there were enough hospitals shutting their doors to warrant printing up bumper stickers, and I really didn't know they were doing so because of "illegals."

The Right always has to have a bogeyman, and right now illegals are it. The more guilty the repubs are, the more their party screws up, the more they need a scape goat. What, they should take responsibility for themselves? Bah!

Especially here on the border, about the only thing that hasn't been blamed on Mexicans is global warming. Probably shouldn't give them any ideas. :)

Someone who thinks either Hunter or Tancredo should be in the Whitehouse probably is not competent to operate a motor vehicle. :scared:

My dad is a fundy-wingnut-RW talk radio devotee, and I'm afraid to ride in his car! He has the habit of passing on a two-lane highway in a way that would give you gray hair! And never uses his turn signal. Ok granted that he's an old coot, but still.

illegals would mean that many nurses, etc., would lose their jobs. If the illegals support the hospitals that much, then wouldn't deporting the illegals close the hospitals. It might lower our taxes but it would still put the individuals in the hospital business out of work, at least for a while.

This is part of that fiction that they don't realize they are just whining that poor people sometimes get a break (while driving around in an SUV, you are to feel sorrier for them than for the illegal who is desperately poor, far from home, working for a low wage at a tough job, and in reality, doesn't get nearly the medical attention the SUV driver gets).

It just always cracks me up how these idiots think they are the victims of these illegals. Most of them are not affected in any negative way by the presence of the illegals, well, except maybe a lower price for lettuce and that they don't like seeing so many brown people around.
