seriously, that guy is an annoying:freak:

Aren't there like 100 other people who could do the entertainment segments w/Keith?....Is Musto the best they can come up with...He's one of those people that tries too hard to be funny, & he seldom is....

11. I agree with that
they both are way too scripted for me . . . it is like they provide the questions to Keith and have the answers worked out hours in advance

6. I dislike Musto intensely but he ain't a prob for me
He's always on at the end of the show so after the worst person in the world segment I just turn the TV off if he's going to be on. If I had the choice of one guest (?) to shitcan my choice would also be Howard the Duck Fineman, with Richard Wolfe and Dana Milbank tied for second.

7. Keith probably doesn't have that much say. I think
he tolerates Milbank but knows he's a useless whore.

Musto contributes nothing and that Maria Melito was a pain in the butt. Glad American Idol is over.

39. Taibbi's never on because he exposes almost every single 'journalist' for what he/she is:
Edited on Sat Jun-09-07 04:01 PM by Gabi Hayes
a simpering tool for the corpirates that run everything

I can't think of a single host, with the possible exception of Olbermann, whom he hasn't viciously excoriated at one point or another.....OK, maybe Bill Moyers, but he doesn't really count, because he's in about the same boat as the likes of Taibbi.

recall how the media pretty much ignored his series on how the media sold the war to a credulous public

when it wasn't outright ignored, which, for the most part, it was, it was criticized extensively, and on points that were tenuous, at best

this is the link I thought I put up in a previous post: to his Wimblehack series, during the 04 election, in which he points out just how bad 32 of the very worst 'journalists' performed during the horserace

she is absolutely sharp as a tack. I can't get her radio show; have watched several clips on u-tube. She deserves a tv show. How they can give air time to the likes of glen blech is beyond me.

9. I'd like to get rid of the entire second half of his program
Edited on Thu Jun-07-07 08:15 PM by rocknation
Its content, I mean, not the time.

I really hate his having to mix the only "real" news we get on the networks with "oddball" fluff when there's so much more going on that he could be talking about. Why hasn't he had Greg Palast on, for instance? Because of NBC's ties to Newsweek?

As for Musto, he's MUCH more effective in print.

40. Agree 100%
I turn off KO the minute he starts Oddball.
It's bizarre.
You go from a fascinating in-depth discussion with a great guest to a cat stuck in a tree.
And the American Idol/Musto stuff at the end is unwatchable.
I'd love to see KO adopt Mathhews Hardball format.

of John Siegenthaler, who was the best newscaster they had, (way better than Brian Williams)...

I know Milbank & Musto aren't "technically" NBC employees, but no doubt they're compensated by them for their dreadful appearances..

13. It is beneath Keith to so gleefully engage in the kind of banter
he does during the last section of the program. I agree, the only important part to see is the first half of the program....other than when he does a special comment. He demeans himself and the program by statements about cavity searches and P. Hilton. I cringe and wonder what has happened to his good sense. Keith, you can be hip without the double entendres and smuttiness.......regardless of who does the correspondent bit at the end. It is a disgrace and the only reason I hesitate to recommend your program to friends.

of stories..That is especially evident when American Idol is on...BTW, the Idol girl (Maria) isn't nearly as annoying as Musto in my opinion...

Maybe he could skip the entertainment news & occassionaly do some sports stories, he is a big baseball guru...Perhaps he could do a special comment on the state of the NY Yankees, LOL....

so that the fifth story is the one of greatest importance and the first one aired.

22. I think Keith's new squeeze is producing his show now.
The rhythm of it is different. Musto is a snarky fellow that Keith probably finds funny.

But the story about Paris Hilton is actually kinda interesting in that there is now a war between the judge & DA and the DOC because the latter let Hilton go free early. Litigation is flying and there's another hearing. It's almost like the judge is po'd that the rule of law isn't being followed and it is the overcrowding in the prison system that is being blamed for it. Lotsa drama.

Keith seems pretty responsive to input, so you definitely write him about your concerns and comments.

26. Nonsense. "Keith's new squeeze" is NOT producing the show.
She's 23 years old and barely has any experience in the field. Besides which, MSNBC and NBC have been cutting staff, on and off camera, to save on budget (John Siegenthaler and Stone Phillips being two of the more visible examples). Firing Keith's current coproducers to replace them with an inexperienced 23-year-old just because she happened to be Keith's girlfriend would be an outrage of Wolfowitzian proportions.

Edited on Fri Jun-08-07 08:02 AM by AtomicKitten
So my guess was in the neighborhood of not being nonsense I think, just guessing, plus men IN LUV have been known to do stupider things. Maybe she's a savant that works cheap.

Can you say for sure she's not? Does your sister's best friend's neighbor's daughter-in-law's internist's aunt work for MSNBC or something? Or maybe you read it on a blog? Anything? I'm working with you here.

33. Well, if you go to Al Gore's Current TV you can look up her videos
Edited on Fri Jun-08-07 08:32 PM by BerryBush
(edited: the Web site, I mean)

and see where she says flat out that she's putting them together in hopes of getting something aired on that channel so she can "get my foot in the door" of the business. Sure doesn't sound to me like someone who has a cushy job at MSNBC as a segment producer for her boyfriend's TV show. Sounds to me like someone who is currently unemployed and looking for work.

Wink, wink. Say no more.

30. I hate to say it, but I think Keith sold out a little...
Notice he doesn't say "Stories my producer forces me to cover" any more?

Notice that Story #1 every night seems to from be the "Stories his producer forced him to cover" genre now? How is Paris Hilton the #1 story on ANY night?

Sorry, but since Keith signed his new contract, the show has lost something. He's still great, just not as great.
