Price of photo-op with Bush keeps dropping
:rofl:    :rofl:    :rofl:

“Gas prices may be up, but there’s something that’s apparently a little cheaper these days: A photo with President Bush.”

Bush headlined a fundraiser for the New Jersey state GOP, where donors could pay $5,000 to pose for a photo with the Commander in Chief. Expensive photo op, right? Well, that’s actually cheaper that what donors paid just a year ago for a grip and grin with Bush. Last summer, GOP officials around the country charged at least $10,000 a pop for presidential photo op, a bargain compared to the $25,000-a-flash Bush commanded during some Republican National Committee fund-raisers back in 2000 and 2004.”

1. Hmmm, trying to remember supply vs. demand from Econ 101...
For prices to fall, either supply has to go up or demand has to go down.

Supply has remained constant (still just one stupid Chimp), so...... ?

20. Pretty much any RRRepub running for election or re-election
for 2008, perhaps???

As I've said, we need to dredge Google images for every photo op with the creep we can find.

22. wait a minute -- it costs more than $18k to hire a Bush impersonator
Like Steve Bridges (the guy who appeared alongside Bush at the press dinner last year).
http://www.rakemag.com/stories/section_detail.aspx?itemID=17415&catID=282&SelectCatID=282

But then again, Bridges is a trained professional who can be trusted not to grope the German Chancellor or insult the audience, even if his contract rider is a tad demanding.
http://www.stevebridges.com/rider.html

He's also an experienced comic who can do a range of different voices. And the Bush impersonator on that "Next Best Thing" talent show does magic tricks and fire-eating. So you'd actually be getting quite a bit more entertainment than you would if you just hired the actual George W. for the evening.

24. why, thank you!
I'd never considered that as a possible career. But with my luck, I would probably get stuck with untalented schlubs like the real-life Bush. Trying to "pimp out" a liability like that would be much worse than trying to get my students into grad school (the closest agent-type thing I do now)!
