I would like to hear candidates talk about arresting and trying terrorists for their crimes.

It makes to queasy to hear Democrats talk about "taking people out" without even mentioning the option of arrest and trial.

1. i think he's already dead, i think they think that as well but they have to chest
thump to show how damn tough they are. I agree with you, i would like to hear them drop the bravado and get real.

2. because Osama is such a macho guy, he'd never let himself be taken alive.
John Wayne, Clint Eastwood style. Maybe like (what was his name) Bronan (guy with really short hair whose wives kept getting killed so he'd have to chase down the bad guys and kill them himself, why would anyone marry someone whose last several wives all got murdered anyway?)

I think it started as a sound bite and has just continued that way. I agree with you.

3. because the PNAC/Likud lobby wants someone who appears sufficiently
willing to be a mindless attack dog for their US living room version of Israel's best interest.

Note that this has nothing to do with the actual views of Israelis of their national interests, only with the wannabe delusions of the conservative faction of their overseas supporters.

It's easy to support military action in one place or another in the Mideast from the comfortable kitchen of your suburban NY home.

5. I Hope Any Confirmed Chance They Get They Blow Him Into Oblivion.
I'm fairly confident that the overwhelming majority of Americans would feel the exact same way.

Ya don't hesitate for a second when it comes to someone like bin laden. When ya got your shot, you take it. Someone like bin laden doesn't need a trial since it would be all sorts of a waste of time. I think it's pretty clear to any non brain dead inhabitant of this earth the things he's guilty of without the need for judge and jury. Sentence? Death. Period. I don't support the death penalty in 99.9% of all cases I could think of. In the case of bin laden? No guilt whatsoever. Take him out. Swiftly.
