STOP THE WORLD
Edited on Fri Jun-01-07 11:08 AM by zeemike

No not to get off but to fix it before it breaks to much to matter.
All of us;;; and that is the world people…even the freepin Nazi knows that the world is being broke down by all the stress we put on it, so it is obvious to us all that we must fix it and fix it for the long run.
And so here I present my solutions to the long term problems before us. II know some of them may seem even bazaar at first but give the idea a chance before reacting like a tazered tiger.

First…Pick a time and date to assemble the leaders of the world to the UN for general agreement to study research and recommend changes in our social and political world that serve to benefit the whole world.

Second…Solve local disputes starting with Israel and Palestine
The UN would declare that the region would be annexed by the UN as a state under it’s political and economic control.
It would be the first state of the UN so I guess you could add a star to the UN flag
All the inhabitants of the region would be citizens of the state and have the same set of laws to follow and the UN would administer that law as it would every other function o government.

Well that is a bone big enough to start with, I got more later.

1. We need to fix our backyard before we take on global problems
There's so much wrong in all of our communities here in America...that if the people can't even awaken to fix those...we're going to be stuck with leaders who have no idea what the fuck you're talking about...and that's what we have now.

We need to start from the ground up. One person at a time...start changing minds and molding this world into what it should be. That is the only way...and we probably won't succeed because there is an end game, soon, because the planet can only take so much.

3. I like the end run
I think our politicians should be talking about this now so we can see that they do have the vision to lead us.
And then we get these people in office where than can do.

5. Third
…declare the world a green zone with the purpose of maximizing the growth of trees and forested land. Laws would be passed to make it difficult and expensive to build with wood and even harder to cut down trees and forested lands.
With an active program of planting trees and reclaiming the land desertified by the exposing the land to the harsh sun. Use all we know about sustainable ag to create sustainable system that produce our food.

6. That's a neat idea
Once I had a guy tell me he would solve the Israel/Palestine conflict by drawing a large circle around the Holy Land and making it off limits for any one to occupy. NO ONE could live in the circled area it would just be a Shrine to visit and pay respect to by all three Religions to which it has significant past Sacred roots. Needless to say I loved that idea. Kick everyone off and run tours and sell souvenirs. The end. Conflict resolved. The UN can give me the Nobel Peace Prize 'cuz I can't remember who gave me the idea. Well, you might have to have metal detectors at the entrances and check for suicide bombers but other wise brilliant. Thank You Very Much. Takes a sweeeping bow.

7. And thank you for considering it
Often things like this seem to imposable for most people to even consider as a solution.
But at some point we are going to realize that we are all in this world together and that we can and should act as one world together to solve our problems.
