3. On another note
have you noticed that the NY Post is starting to call Moqtada al Sadr, "Mookie"?

I'm afraid they're borrowing this guy's name:

20. Fielded cleanly, Buckner still isn't going to beat Mook to the bag. The NYPost is a Met paper..
but I still won't read it.

5. So, they should just shoot him?
Edited on Fri Jun-01-07 07:33 AM by hlthe2b
?????????????????????????????? No, I know that's not what you are suggesting...

Still, it seems a little absurd to suggest someone who maybe mentally ill or suicidal "hasn't got the right to paralyze the city." Sort of like arguing that a two year old ought to be "more responsible"...

6. Someone suicidal and threatening to jump should be sure they do it where they don't distrupt the
rest of us. Geez what is he thinking? Maybe someone needs to get the chant "jump" to help get things moving again.

12. It means the cops have a right to step in and stop him.
I'm not advocating shooting him. .

10. Check To See If He Has TB
Then send every reporter to interview everyone who every knew him...we never can get enough of those "he was a nice guy...kinda quiet".

Sheesh...my local shopper has more world news than CNN these days.

Cheers...

Damn but I'm glad I didn't need to go there today, it's bad enough at the best of times on a business day.

19. They always close the road to traffic for a jumper
the fire/police/medical crews take up the road. Besides, I sometimes also think the NYPD gets some sort of perverse pleasure knowing that people from Jersey are backed up to Atlantic City on the NJ Turnpike. ;-)
