10. Bite me
It would have been nice for us in Boston to have seen pictures of those damned things early in the day, but the TV folk chose not to show them to us for hours...and instead talked about "items" with "wires" and "electronics" that were attached to bridges and hospitals.

Hindsight doesn't make you smart, and it can make you obnoxious. That shit was scary yesterday, because no one here could see what those things were.

"This is not a bomb." yeah, we know that. Now.

I love when DUers have a party at others expense, especially at the expense of other DUers who went through a really rotten day yesterday.

11. Actually, I'm worried in a way.
Why is it that the Boston bomb squad isn't equipped with the bomb sniffing devices that would have told them this was not an explosive device?

12. Those "devices" are usually dogs
and I think it'd be hard to get a dog up to the underside of a major rail bridge.

13. Well, this event exposes a lot of shortcomings
with our "homeland security" process, especially regarding Boston's.

Why on earth didn't BPD immediately get on the phone with Washington (and other police departments).
A little communcation would have gone a long way towards "solving" the mystery.
The 'devices' had been discovered in just about every one of the other 9 cities before yesterday.
Seattle and Austin were keen enough to know they weren't anything to be concerned about.

16. It's just not worth it Will

They are just having too much fun being "cool" and giving it to "the man". I'm quite happy knowing our state takes things seriously and I think most others here are as well. Since they don't pay our taxes I could care less what they think. If they want to act like jack-asses towards one of the most liberal progressive areas of the country, more power to them. If they want to think our blue state government is a Bushco front, who cares? Personally I sleep well at night knowing I live in a progressive state, run by intelligent men and women (for the most part).

To sum it up: Screw the obnoxious little brats.
