Anybody listening to Thom Hartmann?

He's playing the testimony from James Comey from a couple of weeks ago. He has testified that Bush called Ashcroft's wife to tell her that bush was sending people over to talk to the AG (possibly about the illegal wiretaps). Comey then called the head of the FBI, Mueller, so that the DoJ could try to stop bush from getting authorization from a doped up on drugs Ashcroft.

This is the first that I have ever heard the testimony.

And his account of what happened that night in the hospital is chilling, especially the phone call he took afterward asking Comey to report to the White House.

Say what you will about Aschcroft (and there is plenty to say), but on that night he and Comey stood tall to protect against Bush, Gonzalas and Card to protect the Constitution.

9. I watched that testimony when it took place! The one thing that

surprised me was that Comey told the WH he would only meet with them if he brought a witness, and he chose TED OLSEN! Yes, I know he's the solicitor General, but after all I've read on Du about Olsen, I'm surprised to hear that Comey trusted him. Are we wrong in our opinion of Ted?

I am seriously confused. We hear the Dick's people are wanting to bomb Iran. We also hear that daddy is getting involved again (hosting Putin at Kennebunkport in July to talk with gwb).

Is there a battle within the current admin, and who are the players?

13. Well, for sure there are two very distinct different ones.

The Unka Dick crowd

The Shrub crowd.

Unka Dick's group has all the PNAC signers and the pro attack anything and everything that disagrees with them believers.

Shrub seems to have Condi, Gonzo, and Karl.

It's very hard to tell who all the others side with. Gotta give them credit for being damn good at keeping secrets!

The funny part is that there's a third group, and those folks are in Congress and most are up for reelection in 08!
