Bush: "I’ll be in Texas" after leaving the WH

http://www.realcities.com/mld/krwashington/news/nation/17296600.htm

<snip>

Q Let me get a couple before-I-get-thrown-out questions. The question I get all the time after covering you is, what's he going to do when he leaves the White House?

THE PRESIDENT: Ask me after I finish sprinting to the finish line…I’ll be in Texas.

Q You will?

THE PRESIDENT: Absolutely.

Q Making money? Is there a goal of making money?…Charity? (Corporate) Boards?

THE PRESIDENT: I don't know yet. I really haven't spent that much time thinking about it.

A: " I'll be all aroun' in the dark.
I'll be ever'where--wherever you look.
Wherever there's a fight so oil can be took 'n brown people killed, I'll be there.
Wherever there's a cop beatin' up a
guy, I'll be there. I'll be in the
way necons yell when they're mad--an'
I'll be in the way military contractors laugh when
they're hungry an' they know a war's on. An' when our people loot the public treasury, an' live in the
houses they've stolen , why, I'll be there
too."

28. Bu$h has bought a lot on Euclid Ave. in Highland Park (Dallas)
Word is that it is the lot where the Romano house (Macaroni Grill, etc) used to stand. Ironically, that is directly across the street from Dick Cheney's old swankienda (where my dear, late Sirius used to love to poop). Word too is that the Bu$hes paid over $10-million for the lot.

There are bound to be willing DUers in Dallas -- maybe even some within a few minutes of the aforementioned property. (Personally I don't like going for walks in the summer heat, but smart dogs are capable of going out on their own and doing their business in a particular site, and coming home again ...)

37. But not in Crawford, I'll bet
My guess - wealthy Bush supporters form a foundation and buy the Crawford pig farm for at least 10x what Junior paid for it, possibly turning it into a private national historical site of some kind. I can't believe Bush would have any desire to actually live there; after all, if he had ever really wanted to be a country boy he would have made at least a token attempt at it during the 50+ years before running for President.

Crawford's a stage prop for Bush and it will be used to funnel money to him just as the baseball deal was nothing more than a way to pay big money to someone who was unable to make it on his own. He might live in Texas someday, but he won't be clearing brush.

that W will not be in office after Jan 09. I said, no he's toast mentally, he can't take it anymore, but all the dirty things they've been doing with the laws are being done b/c I think they're totally going to do the same damn thing with the election as they did in 04, and get another repub in office in a bitter close victory, when it's so obvious this country is progressive and the thought of any repub winning other than Giuliani would blow me away and prove total theft. I only think Giuliani wouldn't be a shock because of his liberal stances on a few issues. I sure hope Gore runs still, to me, that seals it for us, b/c the landslide will occur. I like Edwards but I can't see him getting a landslide, and that opens up the election process to dirty works that are leaders in Congress really need to prevent from happening then, now!

52. I really hope that if that's the case ...
... it's because he loses control and binge-eats until he's so huge, bigger than President Taft, that his legs won't support his corpulent bulk. Or because he gets so lazy that he demands to be carried in a sedan chair by his press secretary and chief of staff.

I really want him to live a long time, with his mind as sharp as it will ever be, so he can see America turn its back on him and his putrid "legacy". With landmarks not only NOT being named after him, but companies like "Bush's Baked Beans" changing their name just because of the awful stigma.

64. I like the strait jacket idea ...
He's such a fidgeter that he'd be a total wreck after the first five minutes. Another possibility is that he starts howling and throwing a tantrum as soon as they snap those cuffs on him, so he has to be dragged out, bawling for his dad, and clinging to every piece of furniture they pass ... future Presidents will be able to point to his fingernail gouges in the parquet flooring as a visible memento of the end of a dreadful era!
