I have found that I do not particularly feel welcome in a number of places here at DU, not that I intend to stay quiet. People seem to take offense at my sentiments on incrementalism and my emphasis that the first priority of Health Care is to save the uninsured and to save the insured from bankruptcy. I also do not believe that Corporations, possibly led by Cheney or pappy bush or Nyarlathotep, are running the entire world from an undisclosed location, perhaps on some small moon orbiting a gas giant around Fomalhaut.

I will say that I did not particularly think of myself as a member of a Obama group. I voted for him, and I think he has done a good job. Transition from running to governing can't be easy, especially at a time when Republicans made a conscious effort to make governing impossible. I am reminded of the period when Eye of Newt Gingritch shut down the government. History does repeat itself. The viciousness of the opposition here took my by surprise, almost as if we have an anti-teabagger group.

But, again, thanks. It is good to have a sanctum sanctorum.

I like your description of the corporate/insurance company/banks conspiracy theory. No matter what job one does, it will eventually lead to some big corporation - how do these people stay "pure" without being unemployed or students?

Even then they likely spend $$ on something that somehow is connected to these evil institutions!
