Please forgive me for intruding on this thread, but for some reason the system will not let me start a new thread or send a private message or even search the forums! So this is my only way of asking this question:

where someone posted the closed captioning transcript of a Stephen Colbert appearance. It even had the timestamps. I was just wondering if the original poster, or anyone else who might happen to know, could tell me how exactly he obtained the closed captioning data like that? That would really come in handy for a project I am working on.

I don't know the answer but have you tried mailing the poster? (the little envelope icon next to his name)
I know a lot of early transcripts get taken from TIVO.
