Great contrast between three people who know what they're talking about and one who's very good at changing the subject.

21. PNAC warmonger pirate scum,. . unrepentant !
No guilt at all that he can see on himself or his precious grand leader,. the fascist are so full of their self invented power that this guy is willing to try to have a sane conversation with people who do not tow the party line,. is funny how sad he comes off, pathetic really,. to defend the insane positions and revisionist histories of the death-eater administration of Cheney/Bush and their group of Skull and Bones pirate bankers,. does he really think ANY people are going to support/fall for this ?

I do hope the whole lot of them sleepwalk like this right up until they are handed their orange jump-suits!

2. No kidding.
Tony couldn't bear to talk about the corrupt voting machines, he had to
throw up a red herring and talk about voters needing ID cards.

Why is that?

Why is it that the BushCo brigade does not want this issue solved.

Catherine Crier is a Republican. She damn well knew that the voting
machines are hackable and that our system is a big fraud. She repeatedly
said she was so pleased to see this issue at the forefront.

Mark Cuban agreed, so did Maher.

Tell us Tony...why did you run from this important subject?

3. Not only that, but
when Snow was asked to get specific about the "voter fraud" problems that have occurred, he changed the subject AWAY from that.

6. desperate ..
he finally tried to blow off VOTER FRAUD with the concessions that "none of us understands" the technology of the machines!
That's like the Nevada Gaming Commission blowing off machine fraud investigations because NO ONE UNDERSTANDS THE SLOTS!!!!
I swear to Goddess that the logic part of their brains are MIA.

7. Snow keeps asking for evidence of mistabulation...
but the whole problem is that there is no evidence because there's no paper trail. There's no way to verify that a person's vote was counted correctly in the first place--that's the whole point! The computers don't count incorrectly; they have an incorrect data set, and as long as that data remains uncorrected (which can't be done without some independent record), the computer will give back the same result.

As Barney the dog said to Tony Snow: "What's it like when the demons come to visit you at night?"

18. Sarasota Florida. 18,000 congressional votes disappeared. enough evidence for me.
Ohio 2004 and New Hampshire 2008, the percentages when counted by hand are inversely proportionate to the vote counted by machine, CLint Curtis congressional testimony: HE was hired to reverse the vote totals in south Florida in 2000...

30. Not true in New Hampshire
There, everyone votes on paper ballots. Approximately 20% of these (the ones from the more rural areas) are counted by hand in the precinct election night. The other 80% are counted by optical-scan machines, which are riggable and hackable.

8. There is a huge difference
between VOTER fraud and ELECTION fraud

voter = 1 person

Election = 1,000s of people in key precints in key states

HUGE difference

neat, huh?
I am still slightly queasy that this is about a primary - although the way Crier put it may prove me wrong - which would make me very happy .
Of course Maher had to come with "the crying" and ruin any credibility I was going to give him on this...Hey, Bill - it was revenge, not pity - and you're o better than those who provoked it. And to answer your question: we're serious. Like a heart attack.

24. He didn't miss the point ...
he did exactly what he was trying to do take us away from the point. Cloud the issue. The fact that he was the first to mention "voter" fraud when it's "election" fraud, that he would try to make anyone that made it sound like our elections are rigged are ""crazy" ... it goes on and on.

Snow is the worst of the worst and the best at doing what he does.

one person can steal one vote in vote fraud while one person can alter literally millions of votes in election fraud. Cuban was also great when Snow said that none of us here understand the technology and Cuban immediately replies "I do" several times. Excellent clip.

which one of the so-called front runners get to be POTUS, be it "I voted for everything bush wanted" Clinton, or "I'm Mr. Change from the old Chicago Boys school, Zbigniew Brzezinski one-worlder" Obama or any of the republicans the corporate elites will have their person in power. Period.

If the only populace candidate that has a chance, Edwards, can't make it past the massive media manipulation, then he'll never make it past the election fraud.

Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 09:49 AM by tblue37
legislature just laid out the Republicans' legislative priorities for this year. The one at the top of the list is to pass a law requiring a photo ID for voting. This seems to be a main element in the national Republican Party's agenda for this election. (BTW, the Illinois voter ID law was just upheld by the SC this past week, too.)

The Republicans are like busy little elves, always planning and working on ways to mess with the vote--and for some reason the Democratic leadership just can't seem to pay attention to such things.

I keep wondering whether the reason the most powerful Dems won't look at the issue of election fraud and really push it is that they themselves are benefiting from electronic voting skulduggery. But why can't they at least pay attention to the widespread Republican suppression of legitimate votes?

34. I considered not posting this for that reason
There was a story on Democracy Now! a couple of days ago about the strike and some late night shows going on the air without writers. Here's a link to audio, video and transcript. I don't think Maher was mentioned in the story. And according to this article, Maher is not writing material for the show but is skipping the opening monologue to honor the strike.

23. Maybe no fraud in this though... KO
described it Wednesday evening - Obama did get about the percent that the polls predicated 36%.

Clinton got a lot more due to the portion of the polls (which the MSM did NOT report) where a large percent of independent voters (which make up 43% of all NH voters) were not polled because they were calling mainly registered Dems and registered repukes AND a large percent of those who were polled were still undecided Monday before the votes - this could account for the increase in percent Clinton received.

But I still believe there needs to be verifiable ballots - no more of those touch screen machines that have no trail.
