The last time I watched the CBS evening news was in August 2006.

I'm sorry, but imho he's a Bush enabler from way back. This is a day late and a dollar short. It's good that he finally get it, but where has he been? Oh, that's right, golfing with GOP insiders ((his own brother is one). I believe he's (Bob's) even golfed with GWB.

That I share what sounds like disgust for the current direction of the CBS news. Couric has been a real disappointment. But given her flimsy news focus on Today, and given her smart-ass comments and questions toward Dems on her previous assignment, I had pretty low expectations.

11. I think it's important to separate the radical from the radicalized...

Back in the day, Cronkite could have been said to be an enabler of Nixon simply by laying the news out straight. Nowadays, with people such as O'Reilly, Hannity, Krauthammer, Limbaugh & Dana Perino; it's better imo to be able to recognize what a true enabler really looks like

13. That is not to say that Sheiffer isn't, though.

The man helped cover the news in the same all-war, all the time way that other news outlets did. (Back then 2002-3) many a Sunday he focused entirely or almost entirely on GOP spinners.

Just because people like BO and Shanity are bat-shit nutty and hyper-bulling doesn't mean that those who spun the news and commentary shows are any better than they are.

there was a time when the news was simply the news, it has since been highly politicized, diluted & homogenized for that matter; i continue to suggest that by framing Sheiffer in *quite* so harsh a light is to cut the republikan nut-bag fringe a pass free & clear
