The concern about Joe's hiring of Marshall Wittmann is and should be real. I see Raw Story has something up about those concerns today. Wittman was McCain's campaign guy, former lobbyist for Pat Robertson, and the Bullmoose blogger at DLC who coined the term "nutroots" for those of us who are activists.

Our Democrats have a right to be concerned in trusting him with party secrets.

In this video during the CT campaign, a reporter asks another Democrat if Joe's run will hurt other Democrats in their races...he answers absolutely. Joe, when asked, sort of laughs, says they should have thought about that during the primary..and then says here we are. About a minute into the video.

3. If he is standing with Wittmann, we already are a minority.
He made his statement, he spoke out against the people of the party. He had to know this guy has done nothing but bait the people of the party, whom I call grassroots, progressives, or netroots.

He knew what he was doing by choosing the guy whose blog made fun of us every day nearly.

2. Joe pretends that it was the democratic party that rejected him during the primary...
Edited on Mon Nov-27-06 11:48 AM by niceypoo
...it was his constituency. Now he will hold the senate hostage to punish them and make america pay.

4. Lieberman; Democratic Party Hemorrhoid...
Painful; in a bad place; makes it hard to sit... and it probably needs surgery to be removed, but we're stuck with it because we don't have health insurance and can't afford it--even if we could afford to take time off to have the surgery which would be painful in and of itself (we had a partial surgery during the primaries (painful enough), but while we went through with the surgery, we didn't count on the thing growing back as fast as we removed it; now we're stuck with a pain in the ass--and we owe the doctor anyway).

5. Another reason why everyone who said "Lieberman's reelection is no biggie" owes us an apology.
This proves there was no excuse for Reid and the Senate Democrats to betray Ned Lamont.
For shame, cowards, for shame.

7. I knew this would happen--two years of threats and blackmail
and to think there are those who still want to say "Thank you, Joe" for sticking with the democratic party, but what will it cost?

9. We just better elect some actual goddam DEMOCRATS
to the Senate in 2008.

In addition to putting Gore in the WH, of course.

10. And get the Connecticut Legislature, which now has veto-proof Democratic majorities
To finally pass a "sore loser" law so that Lieberman can't do it again in 2012.
