I attended a Joe Biden event this morning in Marshalltown, IA. In this clip, Biden says he can't wait to take on the Republicans.

1. And the Republicans can't wait to start digging into that 35 year senate voting record
Nominating a senator with a 35 year record of casting roll call votes is just asking for trouble.

3. Biden has a fantastic record. Edwards seems to be campaigning on apologizing for his. Also:
Bush made one hell of an "outsider." People are waking up this time. Biden is a TOUGH politician and would be terrific at defending his votes and explaining his way of thinking. Plus, Republicans actually like Biden, as he has worked in a bipartisan pragmatic way his whole career.

4. I disagree! Joe can defend every vote he's made. He is by far
the most capable of going toe to toe with any of the Pubs and WINNING!

I'm afraid Obama doesn't have a tough enough hide to withstand their shots; Edwards seems too laid back; Hillary is tough enough but there are still way too many voters who would NEVER vote for a woman.

7. How did Edwards do?
Edwards missed 311 of 2019 votes (15%) since Jan 8, 1999 (Extremely Poor relative to peers)

over a 4 year period

vs

Biden missed 336 of 3687 votes (9%) since Jan 22, 1997 (Poor relative to peers).

over a 35 year period.

8. Yeah, post #1-totally missed the mark...
Don't know where he gets his information....not even close. Joe has a solid record, and has one of the top 3 approval ratings in the senate. An approval rating well above average.

12. As John McLaughlin would say- WRONG!
actually i have no idea what McLaughlin thinks about this but i heard that voice of his as soon as i read reply #1.

Joe is RUNNING on that record. and it's that record make me hope he gets the nomination. No record is perfect, but if anyone should question any aspect of a vote he cast or a bill he supported he can answer immediately, and without "flip-flopping" the reason for that vote. Chances are, too, anyone hearing his answers will find them reasonable because after all-

"Joe is Right"

18. "I can't wait for Rudi" was a good line too
You could tell he really enjoyed saying that.

As for the "who do we want in the ring with the Repub nominee?" I kept thinking he should have added, "Who do we want in the ring with the Swift Boar Liars?" Everybody knows, or should know, that's part of their game plan too.

11. LOL...I can't wait either.
If the Democrats want to win this election, and with a mandate, all we have to do is nominate Joe Biden. Joe will take care of it from there. He is our candidate. It's up to us to recognize that.

20. I'd be thrilled to see Joe Biden as president.
Anyone who can bring big fat iron balls to the democratic party is not only welcome, but necessary. I've been on the Obama bandwagon, but I'm not 100% sure he can give the ThugliCon attack dogs the hell that is requisite. A dem who is capable of that has my attention, straight up.

21. I was just like you, JoeySoCal. Sure I come from the DraftGore Camp but sitting in the
Edwards groups for a while in dismay, I heard the J-J Dinner speech of Joe Biden and I knew right then and there...

Check out that speech. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T--LCh8ryOc

Then check out some of his other videos... http://www.youtube.com/joebiden

There's a big surprise brewing in Iowa and his name is Joe. Joe Biden.
